How to optomize game on a good computer?

Hello and thank you for any help you can give me. I have 3 tech questions in one:
1. Processor cores? I see the advice about setting core affinity but it seems to give instructions for duel core processors only. If you have quad or 6 core processor, do you turn all but one core off or still only the last one? I am running W7 64 bit on 2 such machines and the game is exiting to desktop randomly on both.
2. NIC settings? In other mmo games I have made adjustments to the network card properties listed below and am wondering if it is beneficial in this game as well:
DISABLE IPv4 Checksum Offload
DISABLE TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4)
DISABLE UDP Checksum Offload (IPv4)
3. Internet optimization? Also in the past I have disabled Nagle's algorithm and am wondering if it is beneficial in this game as well if I can even get it off in 64bit W7.

If you're running Win 7, changing those NIC settings can actually cause problems. Also on Win7 setting processor affinity makes no difference. At least not with any of the testing I've done.
GameBooster by IObit can help to optimize your system, it's especially good when doing TW.
When the game exits to desktop, what are you doing?

Some of the easiest things that you can do is disable, uninstall or shut down any programs that use any kind of bandwidth. This can be web browser toolbars, programs that tweak windows settings, web browser plugins, torrent programs, IM programs, and more.
Also, disabling or turning off your firewall and antivirus programs can speed up your connection too because all of the data isn't being slowed down being scanned, and eating up system resources to do it.Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
