Okay pardon the noob question but, my freaking vortex wont stay up -.-

according to the skill desc, it says it will drop when you run out of chi which, when i've been vortexing i dont notice my chi bar going down. I've tried mp potting during it too like mad but it will still go off i honestly dont know what im doing wrong here ._. but any thoughts would be appriciated. Thanks

Vortex uses MP not chi...it's a really messed up skill description on it...

and the MP cost is somewhere around the 350-435 range at max lvl (might be at start...idk my seeker is only lvl 1) >_>.....Only thing I can tell ya is pot your living *** off, or get a MP charm
Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

once ur lv 75 just herb and its all good b:cool

however if ur using a charm, a nice way to maintain vortex is to use a mp pot AFTER the charm ticks, this should buy you enough time to recharge the charm so it ticks again

With the mp food at lvl 75 you will be able to keep it up ^^
Asterelle was so kind to do some maths P:

This shows how much mp you need for lvl 1 and lvl 11 vortex. My mp is a little under it though, but so far I have had no trouble keeping vortex up ^^

    vortex uses MP not chi.
guess if you have less than 1800 mana pool, then you need some combinations of herbs and MP charms.
If you're a lv75+,forget about pots, charms, and herbs.use Yuanxiaos, they are actually cheaper with no cooldown(you should have knew it)

I would sort of be in the same boat as Hazumi_chan, as far as the amount of MP is concerned. However, not being lvl75 yet, I cannot used the herbs yet. What I do though is the following.

If you actually buy the apoth herbs, instead of farming it, it can get a ittle expensive, but I made a batch of the various Apo MP Powders (the ones that give you X amount over 30 seconds, not the 50 per sec for 10 min).

I had a number of the 3000mp over 30 sec powders and then the 6000mp ones too. I have not made any of the 9000mp powders yet, because the herbs for those are expensive, Tulip costing 6k each and you need 15 of them for 5 powders.

Anyway, when I am using vortex, I pop a powder and then vortex (for some reason, it does not work the other way around, as vortex carries on but the damn powder won't take). Once vortex is up will also pop the highest NPC pots I can get my hand on. It does not exactly stop your charm from ticking, but it does help to keep your mp pool going for little longer than without the powder.

I hope this makes sense. This is what works for me though:)

^I used that method too when I was under lvl 75. I did have the ones for 9k mp though seeing as I was lvling my veno's apoth anyway P:

I usually watched my buffs, soon as the icon dissapears I would pop a potion to keep it up just a little longer.
Also if I wasn't tanking I used an mphat for an extra mp boost ^^
