About a month and a half ago late one night i acidentally npc'd my rank 9 chest plate 4 JoSD +10 That was the only piece i had other than wep and ring, and i was pretty sad. I didn't realize it was npc'd till the next day and realized i was screwed and could never get full rank 9.

So i started deleting character to make new barb to get full rank 9 on.

However gms responded to my ticket that they would indeed as a one time curtsey respawn chestplate.

After a month and 2-3 maintenance they indeed did respawn chestplate. No +10 or sockets but still it was very nice of them. I thought i would share my failure and success and give a shoutout to gms, who imo in this case did good work.

Well....now I'm upset. Because there are tons of people that accidentally npc stuff, or are ripped off by other players....and they give you special treatment?

Favoritism is an indication of a faulty system. If you npc'd it, you should've just had to do without, imo.

I couldn't help but "lol" at this topic. There was a thread like this a month or two ago, where the GMs told the player (who send countless tickets), that they couldn't replace the players gear. They had NPC'd a R9 wep, by accident.

Favoritism, if the OP is serious. Seem's like a corrupt set of GMs in PWE. Then again, isn't PWE itself corrupt/greedy/money hungry?

I've seen other games where NPC's will sell you back stuff that you've sold to them up to a day later (though at a bit higher price I think). Too bad PWI doesn't have something like that.

In Blizzards game, if you NPC an item and NPC buys it for 10 coins, they sell it back to you for 10 coins. You take no loss buying it back.

However, if you log out then back in, it clears your 'buyback' slots, so you'd better realize you NPCed something necessary before you logout.

I don't see the big deal. You realize the only reason they gave it back is:

1)Rank 9 can only be bought once

2)It cost a lot of money

3)If they don't give it back they lose a POTENTIAL heavy spender

Don't believe me? NPC your Nirvana+10 gear and see if they give it back.

Or maybe, the GMS are just humans and sometimes you feel bad for someone and help them out and other times you're too busy or whatever and you don't. It's called wrong place, wrong time. :P I've something returned to me, and I'm not a heavy rank 9 spender......The only thing I dislike is when the GMs allow cheaters to prosper.

I think I only saw one post congratulating Man on getting his rank 9 chest armor back D: .

He opened up to everyone to share his story about accidently npcing a valuable peice of gear, nearly quitting/deleting his character, and got helped out by GMs. There are about a bajillion posts saying pwi dosen't care about their players, but when provided with an example where they do help out, people talk about favoritism X3.

Another valuable lesson we learned from this is. Buy a ton of binding charms and bind all of your rank 9/stuff you can't stand to lose b:shocked

binding is pointless now except to transfer refines, r9 was changed so it can no longer be npc'd.

as for the gm;s helping him, thats favoritism hate to tell ya, plenty others have done the exact same, and got told to basically go *** themselves by the gm's.

honestly, i think its kinda messed up how one person is told they cant get a piece back that they npc'd while another does. it should be kept the same way, either everyone can get something they accidentally npc back or nobody.

grats on getting your chest back man, but pwi still sucks that it took over 2 months to do xD

It's true that humans generally will want to genuinely help others. However, if the past is a prime example of a greedy company, then why change in the future? Since beta, there has been countless forum posts about similar issues. Generally they look like this:

"A GM helped me get item xyz back! They are the best!"
"I contacted GMs via tickets countless times, back and forth for months... I pleaded with them. I NPC'd item xyz, and I can't get it back. They refuse to return the item, or spawn it back for me."
"GMs are the best, omg! I accidentally lost my R9 ring, and they returned it!"
"Somehow, I accidentally sold my R9 wep. Sadly, after countless tickets, GMs said they can't spawn it back via the quest, and it's a one-time thing. =/"

Well, think about this way. If you were at a service oriented job. Havent' you ever been in a good mood and went above and beyond your job description to help someone else out? And other days you are just waiting until you can leave and whoever comes in that they gets just enough service to not get you in trouble. So yeah, i'd expect the service to be pretty all over the place. It would be nice if they had some kind official policy on it at least.

I agree. I mean, I'm not saying it's a bad thing to provide kind customer support. I'm just saying that, it's not statistically being repeated or reproduced each time a player comes with the problem. Too me, that's not being fair to the players that are being rejected and denied for accidentally NPCing gear and wanting it respawned. Like you said, they should have some official statement or policy (either available for players to read, or at the very least -- available for the customer support staff to read).

    Lemme ask:

If, for example, you score was -1 000, what would a +1 do? I'll assume I don't have to teach anyone basic math.

Hitting one ball when you've missed 1 000 doesn't make you a good batter. Even if it was a homerun with all bases filled; You'd still be short -996 points.

Maybe, if you want decent customer service, you should send GM's flowers and a box of chocolate?

He wasnt gonna quit/delete his toon.. he was gonna clear alt space to make another barb.. fc glitch him to 105 and buy new r9 gear..
it wasnt a matter of losing a heavy CSer.. it was clearly favoritism..

To me it looks like you're a bunch of jelaous trolls... Some person lossing deicides getting scammed gets it back because a GM spawned it with stones and refines and is fine everyone congrats him...

Man losses heavy cashop gear and he's an *** :/ Where's the sense on that?

Maybe all the other people that didn't get help was trying to get it while it wasn't true? Maybe GMs can track the actions being made and they see who is being fake or not?

Seems nobody knows how to put themselves in the skin of others, if that would happen to you, you wouldn't be saying "oh I broke the ToS and I should be punished with not getting my R9 back, while 75% of pwi community breaks the rules".

Haven't you heard of that other player (a Psy was it?) who got his npc'd R9 wrist back? The difference in these examples is that you can't get R9 again if you npc it, not even if you have the GST and the medals. It just won't have the quest anymore. That is why GMs would probably give it back.

Now, I know +10 and shards cost more than the chest plate itself, R9 armor itself is not really that expensive, so stop QQing favoritism, the GM still made him learn his lesson.

2 of my alt chars (one being my catshop) were wiped due to scamming someone by running off with his pet. My pass is safe, I don't use CORE connect, nobody else in my house plays the game, I've never had a pet other than anniversary one on both chars, yet they said server logs proved me wrong.

mmm. Guess they don't like F2P kind of player.
