Are seals useful?

I don't use them very often except in bh or tt helping kill bosses...and I don't c much recognizible effects when I use them... Should I lv them? I'm lv73 and my seals r between lv1-6

    Max them.
    They are indeed really useful.

    But level them when you have coins and spirit to spare.

    Level elemental/dimensional seal when when you have the spirit to do so. You can get away with low lvl cromatic/silent seal until your higher/begin to pvp more. Our pdef/magic def reducing seals rock b:dirty

    Honestly, they are worth maxing. However, for my own personal playstyle, they are the weakest point in my cleric. You can get by wiithout them being maxed for a period of time, but eventually you should get around to them. Jusr make sure that you have your major moves first. You should have them all maxed by now. My spirit, as of late... has been going towards metal mastery, wield thunder, tempest, chromatic healing beam (Finally maxed it. Pole is a pain), and purify. What you choose to level IMO is up to you, however you should still have those skills, and still use them wisely...even if they are a bit low leveled for now. Honestly, I probably won't get around towards leveling my seals any until I am in my level 80's. Lol. Even so, still use whatever moves you have wisely, and aid the team with your debuffs...low leveled as they may be, the team will still appreciate it. If you want to level your debuffs now, go for it. They ARE useful. If not, then don't. They're not make or break it deals like IH, revive (at this point), BB, and buffs are.

    I think I had most mine at level 1 until I had all other more important skills maxed and that was mid-8x.

    They can and are useful but like mentioned above, you can wait on them until you have the extra coins and spirit to do so.

    Even now, I rarely use them much except for pk and tw, maybe some in TT/HH but even then some genie skills/other class skills debuff just as well if not better.

    its useful and nice just purifying yourself after is kinda sucky if any aoe comes and you dont do it fast enough ;o

    Only useful clerics use debuff seals. The rest spam IH on top of a tank that has 100% hp that isn't moving an inch.


    If that sarcasm wasn't thick enough, then "Yes, seals are very useful." Since bloodpaint can replace most clerics and do a more reliable job of healing, debuffing for others allows another level of usefulness to clerics. Also, Silent sealing a mob out of range of a ranged squishy usually means the mob dies without the squishy ever getting touched and you ever needing to heal them. This is much better than going "oh ****! the mob sneezed on them and 1/2 their hp disappeared *wellspring wellspring wellspring*"

    My point is, seals add a very useful dimension to clericing that is under utilized and really should be expected of clerics.

    I max them because I like doing damage and they help me kill things faster, especially with a spark. The Silent Seal helps keep strong melee mobs away from me while I get in 1 or 2 extra hits, which could mean saving a lot of pod/meditation time/death.

    This also means I had to farm more spirit, and disappear from active playing for a bit every now and then.
