If it's in the winter I have an old pea coat from school where the pocket is torn and I could probably store a full 5 course meal in there.
If it's during the summer I'll just wear a hoodie and put the popcorn and drinks in there.
Even if it's crazy obvious that you're bringing in food to the movie theater 99% of the time the people working there won't give a damn unless their boss is nearby.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I keep hearing people go nuts about people that cash shop saying all types of nasty things.
Here is how I see it. If I go out to a movie it cost $10 plus another $7 for popcorn and a drink, roughly $20 for a couple of hours of entertainment and a snack. I make more than $25 an hour at my day job and do some freelance on the side for a couple of hundred bucks a month.
So instead of spending my gaming time farming the same monsters or instances over and over so I can sell stuff and maybe make a few million, I buy an average of $20 of gold a month. Now I am not saying I play PW instead of going to a move every couple of weeks or out to dinner with friends/GF but I am just putting the cost of other entertainment which most people don't blink an eye at into perspecitve.
So it comes down to this.
Are all the cash shop haters just jealous?
If you really believe in your heart-of-hearts that a F2P game should only be played free then why would you curse out cash shoppers because they are the ones paying for your free play.
Why do some free players pretend they are better or more committed to a game because they don't cash shop. I personally see it as them having too much time on their hands if they want to waste hour upon hour farming.
Bottom line is everyone should play how they want and for their own reasons....if you hate something about the game, just quit and move on. Why come to the forums and whine about.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Pure jealousy, or some frustration for repeated 1 shot problem.
Money does not make a good player but it sure iron out the up and down of a mistake.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Pure and simple, PWI broke the number 1 rule of any mmorpg (referring to the escapist video about micro-transactions if you haven`t seen it by now), do not sell power in the cash shop, now every kid and their mom can get an endgame gear in the boutique, r8,r9 or just from packs, if the boutique had items which do not greatly influence the gameplay people wouldn't be so pissed.
Several people already mentioned, we do not have any problem that someone dishes out a few bucks per month but if a person can throw several k and basically buying a god mode and then brag how cool he/she is leaving the f2p players in the dust simply because it is nearly impossible to compete, without investing all your time to make money in game.[SIGPIC]http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=14516063001&dateline=1364756666[/SIGPIC] Ty Silvy0 -

This.
It imbalances the game.
Cash shop haters usually hate the cash shop itself more than they hate the players personally.
No one has a personal grudge/hate against someone who spends money on games. I've spent money on games (Not on PWI though).
You're exaggerating actually...i doubt anyone actually really HATES anything.
I'd be pretty pissed too if I were in a car race, and someone paid $80 to take shortcuts and come first. It's skipping the whole point of the competitive side of PWI (besides FUN obviously), effort and skill.
And I'm not talking about people who spend money to buy a mount and plat charm every month or something minor like that. I'm talking about people who spend large amounts of money to overtake everyone else. That's no longer gaming, and it completely kills competition in PWI, because competitive things are supposed to be based on skill/effort where everyone is on a level playing field.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I've put some cash into the game, just because I used to play like 2-3 years ago before I had a decent job, and the game was boring as ****, because it was basically just grinding and farming.
I see nothing wrong with bypassing that whole portion of the game pretty much, by buying hypers or getting oracles or basically anything to get rid of that portion.
Not too mention, easily being able to open an account stash, max out my inventory, safe, and cupboard and stuff like that, is awesome.
..and I wanted to buy the flyer I wanted, so I did.
I don't see the problem with it really. If you ain't got the cash, or don't want to put the cash in (because, let's face it, you ain't got the cash), then that's cool.
Just don't ***** when someone does.0 -

some ppl r forgetting the fact that, in the old times.. it took like half a server to kill a world boss, like 3 hrs to run a TT, took WEEKS of mindless grinding to gain a single level b:laugh
like it or not, cash shoppers and boutique items had made the game much more enjoyable, mostly on the PvE part, which is about 90% or more of the game time u spend .. and every single player had benefited from cash shop items at one point or another
if there is the cash shopping only available to the amount of old school PWI,
-alot of causal players will complain about how hard it is to lvl (0.1% from killing 3 mobs at 8x? anyone?, no hypers ? wtf! *ragequit* )
-how impossible it is to get into this squad and that squad (wiz were not welcome in TT squads since old days, get over it, so were BMs, pre-aps times, remember the Rage against Venos? )
-how overpriced the mats were which can only be obtainable thru squad effort ( cala lvl 70 gold axe for several mils ? 7~8mil for Cape of Tauren when gold price was 300k ? )
and many more
of cos there is another side of the story, there always is good & bad,
most ppl hate few cash shoppers who act like they own the world after splashing $$ on lvl and gears .. but who doesnt hate someone who acts like *****, whether they r cash shopper or not ?
bottom line is u cant make everybody happy, there will always be QQers, haters and pricks
just play ur own game, treat the ppl as the way u want to be treated, if u r not being a ***** but someone still hates u cos u r cash shopper, then he/she is jealous .. there is no other explanation b:laugh0 -

I preferred things this way. Levels meant something back then and no one was overpowered. The game was much more enjoyable. I'm at 22.7% on my venomancer at level 100 purely from killing Avalanche Crushers. I've done no exp quests at all and I do not use hypers. Actually I find the exp gain to be pretty fast by purely grinding.I am a barb that does not powerlevel, nor cash shop. I may not be the highest level, nor have the best gear. However unlike others, I know how to play.b:pleased0 -
Not all cash shoppers have no life. It just depends on the person. Some may actually have a job and want to spend their money on the game. It is their own earned cash and can do whatever they want with it. If they go in debt from the game (which I hope not), it's their problem.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

1 reason i hate heavy cash shoppers is cause they rush to endgame so fast then buy all endgame gear +10-12 it then complain that pve is to easy lol of course they dont know what its like for a light CSer or someone that doesnt CS at all..
like how pwi listened to the complaining of these heavy CSers and made 3-X tt much more difficult, to enter tt 3-1 if i remember right starts at lvl88 try making a average squad to do 3-1 at lvl 88 to farm for your gears no way you will make it through, but of course because the people that dump thousands of dollars into the game complained it was to easy it was changed b:surrender **** over average players0 -
I was a tiny one when I started. I have only one character where I have cash shopped very little on and that is my psychic. Whenever I want to feel like a "normal" player, I hop on my psychic. Yeah Im saying, I can feel a bit of tension from others when they suspect I'm a cashshopper.
I turned into a heavy one later for what I thought was a justified reason, but it caused some domestic problems with someone special to me.
I guess I don't have much of a life. I work 40hrs per week, 8hrs per night, off 2 nights per week. I'm free to do whatever I like during the day and I sleep around 6-7pm. All I do is play PWI. I have alot of games but I just dont have the interest in them as I used to.
Before all of that, and after my psychic, still, the biggest spending I did with the CS is getting the herc. I don't know why, but I felt ashamed after I got it. So ashamed that no one knew I even had it til I was around lvl60. In squads, I didn't take him out. I just used other pets. When I started using him around others, it was like this big thing(it was back when herc was rarer). Some got jealous and stuff. I dont like it when people get jealous over things I have.
Not really sure the point of this thread.
Braggart cashshoppers? I'm not one of them.0 -

It feels more or less the same as watching a movie... or wait for it... renting an apartment.1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.
2. If you have less kill counts then me, don't expect me to take pk advice from you.
3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

yea but the smart people your talking about actually farmed some of their gear so know what its like to farm mats with lower lvl gear, where as heavy CSers bought all their gear and has not a clue what its like to farm your own gear..
so again the heavy CSers that bought their way to endgame complain about a instance that was meant for people 11+ lvls lower then they are, where most people would be in armor a hell of alot weaker with weaker weapons.. the difficulty was fine for the people it was meant for0 -

Ever heard of a thermos? I usually leave my house not too long before showtime, and if I can I try to put some ice in a thermos and bring that filled with soda and another soda can as backup. I also used to have something along the lines of this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003E6ZX9K/ref=asc_df_B003E6ZX9K1538129?smid=A2IFCNMNMJDIV0&tag=nextagusmp0395393-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395129&creativeASIN=B003E6ZX9Kand would stuff it in my oversized zebra print tote. That is if I wasn't going to dinner and a movie, at which point I would just leave that at home and ask for a takeout container and stuff my food in there. LOL. Actually, I think I should get another one of those....If you sit in the back and are smart enough to eat it when the lights are out, and aren't loud and obnoxious about it, people usually leave you alone. I haven't had a complaint yet.

Wow thats being well prepared, i'm impressed o.o I do know what a thermos is but i only use it for coffee. That bag definitely kicks the **** out of my picnic basket. Should probably get one to avoid buying snacks and junk food when going out. I do bring boxes of chinese, pizza and even burgers into the movies lol, its fine if you sit in the back. But i'm to lazy to make stuff at home and take with me, but maybe i should make an effort to save money and eat better. This is really of topic b:surrender
@Topic: I do not hate heavy cash shoppers and i dont think anyone does really, they help paying for the game. Without them AH would be empty of gold for me to buy out with my in-game money. But sometimes you get annoyed when someone only played for a few months and already have a 101+ char in full rank9 +10-12 sharded with JosD and one shots you while pressing random hotkeys.Than they complain about lack of PvP and endgame content even tho they never been outside of FCC, Westgate and HO since they started playing.
I'm not "jealous" or anything i have the option to charge that amount of money to. I just rather spend my irl money on decorating my apartment, going out, traveling and fashion i guess. Maybe i should spend it on a f2p as well, who knows.
I still think the most fanatical haters dont have the option to cash shop themselves making them even more frustrated. Players with their own credit card doesn't care as much what other people do with their own money. But you can still dislike or even hate the massive cash shop advantage in the game of course.0 -

Well, as my headline to my post says, I didnt read the text so am commenting on just the title. I would like to clear this up. I do not have a life, and I do not have a problem with cash shoppers. People with no life have all the time in the world to get thier stuff straight. I can farm TT among about a dozen other things I do all day and capitalize on these things, though time consuming, allows me to "keep up with the Jones'."
One of the perks about having nothing but time on your hands due to being a total life loser, is us losers don't have to spend RL money on the game. Playignt his game is like working on an "old" car. It comsumes at least one of a person's time or money. In rare cases both. But one is always true.
I think the title of this thread is more or less just a bit of arrogance really.
But meh who the ** cares anyway.

Apearently no they have no lives... I'm not a cash-shopper but I wouldn't realy care about how other ppl waste their money (even if it is on pixels)... It's not like ppl are spending my money on it... Most likely they're all just complaining cause cash shoppers can buy their way up and are causing a massive inflation... Ok I admit the inflation is enoying when trying to keep up with grinding (not to mention the ridiculous standards to be alowed in a squad these days) but when you see someone who clearly CSed his way up you should just feel more proud of yourself (and maybe point and laugh at the person when he/she doesn't know how to play his/her class).... b:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
