hey all i have a question about demon vanguard/magic shelll. in the description says it gives (or can give) 25 chi to the target and the caster. but my question is: is the target is the caster we get 50 chi?

You don't get 50 chi, you get around 30. I tested it out a few times. >.< It kinda sucks, but apparently 25+25 = 30.

so you only gain the 25 chi for being the caster. and not or being the target. im guessing the 5 chi you gain its or making the skill. as you would gain no matter if demon, sage or even below lvl 89.

the caster gets it, and vanguard/shell don't give you 25 chi. So yeah 5+25 = 30.

You get 5 chi for casting the spell, but the description is wrong. the proc to gain an additional 25 chi is for the target, not the caster. Unless ofc you're casting it on yourself.

Not true. If you cast the buff on a target, and it procs, both your target and you get 25 chi. (Well you get 30 really, but yeah.)

It doesn't proc on yourself as the target and the caster, however.

You're wrong, I have already tested this multiple times and its really easy to test. set up a macro (repeat-vanguard-magic shell) go find somebody and cast it on them over and over again. You will always only gain 5 chi because the skill description is wrong and will never give additional chi to the caster, unless the caster is the target.

I swear i've gotten 30 chi while casting it on someone else. Will try to confirm when I get home. b:surprised

Its been a couple months since I played my cleric (between work and lvling my BM), but I know when I was casting it it gave both me and the target (usually barbs in FC) the 25 chi WHEN IT PROCS. My problem is it usually only procs about 10% of the time, but I just chock that up to bad luck lol.

You were right, I must have mistaken the jump in 5 chi to be bigger than it was. b:embarrass

And, amusingly, it seems to not always grant BOTH the additional chi. b:sad

Not really a bug, but Demon Tempest says "Sage version has a 25% chance to immobilize targets for 8 seconds" in it's description.

We're one of the original classes... We've got plenty of bugs... b:surrender But yeah, our level 11 skills have the same bugs as the level 1-10 versions. b:chuckle

I have reported this in the bug thread. It's 1 - a miss translation, or 2 a programming error.

the skill will give 25 chi to the target now only.
