Thicket discovery

so i was dueling a psychic today when i realized that thicket ignores both the psy retaliation and soul of stunning buff...he had on white vodoo but im sure def lvls effect it also to my knowledge only the only mystic skill that ignores def lvls is absorb soul...it still took half his hp with wv...but i was amazed to c none of his effects even triggered..the only explanation i can think of is the fact that the plants are each counted as individual summons themselves so the reflect would happen to them but since they have no hp the effect is null

    Plants do have hp, they can be killed by mobs ( try pulling an attack plant on a group of mobs and see what happens b:chuckle )

    What I belive happens is that Thicket is not a plant exactly, but a 2 spark skill and maybe (just maybe) that's why it isn't affected by the psy's defensive skills.

    yes im aware of plants having hp and being able to be killed but thicket is an exception... plant summons for thicket have no hp

    Well, this isn't news, I had already posted it in another thread. And using thicket on a psy means that none of the psy buffs will effect you since, as you said, the thickets are counted as individual summons, and the freeze/seal still goes through retaliation because it has multiple ticks. But you should also know if you start to channel thicket on someone and they try to holy path away or use any other kind of speed skill to kite, they will summon on them no matter how far away, and if they get far enough it won't even go into cooldown or cost you sparks.

    Something that happened the other day that happened to me for the second time, was when I used it on a bm when he was running towards me, and thicket finished channeling as soon as he got his aoe stun in, but they attack him until after the stun ran out. But something notable is how they still froze him even without dealing any dmg at all. This leads me to believe that the freeze part is an extra effect from the skill that is not linked with the dmg at all. I have further prove backing this theory up from when I pvped a psy on my server who uses the nullify poison genie skill which makes him immune to wood dmg. Usually, when you resist the dmg of an attack, you also resist any debuffs along with it, but whenever he used it, it still froze him without him taking any dmg at all.

    And I'm pretty sure thickets do have hp, they just disappear to fast for it to matter. They deal all of their dmg instantaneously and disappear immediately after.

    but i wonder why sometimes my thicket dont do any damage even i lost 2 spark and thicket goes to cooldown b:sad

    a lil bit off topic but just want to add that absorb soul can do damage through absolute domain (genie skill) or ironguard(apoth) in duel b:victory

    Well I noticed one time that they were moving so fast, that by time thicket finished casting onto the spot they were on they moved out of the range of the thickets :s But this has only happened to me once

    another thing I noticed is that if the mob you targeted died RIGHT before thicket gets summoned theres little to none chance that it summons plants around you without using sparks(no cooldown also) and still doing damage to the mobs next to it b:victory

    I just love it when that happens
