i log on i disconnect

i can log on several times a day doesnt matter what time of day or what day it is. i log onto the game do about 15 seconds to 20mins of game play and then BAM i disconnect all the time im always having to force log my self back in and all that. i have tried TWO wireless routers for this to work. (my neighbors router with permission of course). and my router. i still seem to dc a hella lot on game and on vent....

my gf ALSO plays on her laptop and DOES NOT have this problem she is connected to my wireless router (supplied by the cable company sry forgot to mention) and she plays just fine she has like 2-5 tabs of google chrome running and can still play the game with NO dc and barely any lag.

the most info i can give any one is that it wasnt doing this exactally 3 days ago as of now and another small thing idk if it helps any. but when i would plug my charger into my laptop it would go dark and when i would unplug it would go bright, it used to the complete opposite instead, maybe something went wrong on some sort of soft ware, idk...

my gf and i both have windows 7.
ask anything about any soft ware i have (I DO NOT HAVE ANY ILLEGAL SOFT WARE ON MY COMPUTER). or ask about anything in general about the computer ill try my best to answer your questions.

please help me i get really irritated and annoyed with it coz it makes me wanna toss my laptop out the window.

also i went on vent and asked for a little help. the most i was told to do was delete all history and cookies. it helped for about an hour and all i did was get on facebook and craigslist to look at a couple things and it started back up.

(side note for other things i have running usually or that run and get closed: i usually have skype running and close msn and get a java update that i happen to cancel half the time)

any ideas?

TCHP - Lost City

wireless signal can be weaken by a lot of thing. Just to trouble shot more, have you try to use a network cable. If you still get disconnected, then you have a problem whit your Internet connection or router. If you have a stable connection, then you have problem you your antenna, might have to much walls for the signals, or to much interference, or just to much traffic on the router.

Clearing your i-net cache isn't really going to change much for your PWI connection. I'm going to agree with TCHP here. Especially because I have some experience with those routers. A common one is the 2-Wire 2701 model and it doesn't have enough memory in it to manage a decent file transfer, much less multiple PC's playing an MMO AND browsing the web.

Also, I would check to see if you have the Skype Toolbar installed. It's not something that you choose, but it gets installed by Skype occasionally. It is known to cause issues with PWI specifically.

well i did have the skype tool bar but i got rid of it not too long ago. i will check about the walls and having the antenna.
so it could be my net provider? or not a high enough net (we have a 8mbs net right now) maybe we need it a little higher?

not the provider, it's the modem/router that's the issue. At least, that's my primary idea on what's happening. Try direct cale connection from your computer to the modem first and see if it still disconnects. If it doesn't, then it's most likely the wireless that s causing the issue. If it does still disconnect on a cable connection, then it's more likely to be some software on your system. I had 8mb DSL and could run 10 to 12 clients, so your bandwidth is fine.

TCHP - Lost City

If your using a dsl, then your profile might not be set to play computer games.

I had a lot of problem whit disconnection whit my dsl provider. I ended up paying for a cable solution instead.

i'm not well verse in dsl, but I can tell you they have 2 different kind of signal. The latest that gives 8 mbs is good to work whit web, download etc.

The second will be slower but give more data spike like game uses.

Finally in my case I was to far from the hub so even If I could download for hours whit no problem, when I use application like PWI the connection lost the signal.

If you don't find a problem whit your modem, call your dsl compagnie and see if they can help you.

I have the same problem , i get Dc'd anywhere from between 15sec to 1hour playing this game..

I am from India , Using Beetel 450BXI ADSL2+Router ...

I have called the Technical support engineer of my ISP 10 times past 1 week , he has changed modem , Changed the entire line , did everything he knew but still could'nt fix the problem..

Im not so Tech Savvy so can someone please explain what to do or how to solve this problem ? I started this game few months back just when i was starting to get interest in it this stuff starts , its kinds pissing me off i dont get much time to play due to my job anyways and if in 1-2 hr i get to play i get dc'd 10 times its no use playing then..


So any help would be appreciated ,
