Log in timer

When I go to log in I get a log in timer for 40s and then an elapsed time next to it.I was fine last night and now I'm not..When I go to select a server none show a ping or a population. The website said the servers were up and working but I guess not? I tried re-logging. Cancelling and putting my info in again but nothing seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you're having an issue connecting to the server. It's most likely one of three things....
1. Software on your computer.
2. your Internet connection.
3. Something on a router that is in between you and PWE's servers.
Start at the top and work your way down. If you relly want to get help... Bother to post your system specs, type of connections, (ISP type, wired or wireless), OS information, and at least a copy of the results from a traceroute.
(If you don't know how to traceroute your server, use the search function. It's posted here in this forum.)"No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style." - Steven Brust, Yendi

I just ran a cleaner and nothing bad popped up..I cant access my router since its currently locked in my roommates room >.< and my internet is slow atm but I can access webpages etc as well as other games..I had problems with PWI before so for something new to pop up really isn't a surprise.0

Try restarting your PC and network hardware, sometimes that is all it takes.
Please see if any of the information below might help you...
Add the game folder and/or game files (all .exe file types) to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.
Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International
You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to download, install, patch and login to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.
It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.
You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.
If you still need additional help, please Search our Knowledge Base for the terms mentioned above. Let us know what you tried and what errors you got when you reply to us in a ticket to Tech Support.
Thanks!Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
