After corrections from people i have edited this to make it more accurate and clear:
I just did so much math my head hurts so please appreciate this,

Advantages of 2 Chaos rings (+12):
100% accuracy
14-15% physical damage reduction
2-3% magic damage reduction
6% crit rate

Advantages of r8 and r9 rings combined:
50% accuracy
+500 base damage (Compared to 2 chaos rings) > increased with spark
7% crit rate
+5 defence levels (damage reduction for magic and physical damage)
+180 HP

I did these calculations with 4500 base physical defence + magic defence and r9 weapon +12 with 2 garnet gems, The forumlas used to work out the damage reduction have a 93% accuracy rate.
You may also want to take into account Attack levels for increased damage.

100% accuracy
6% crit rate
6-7% physical damage reduction
Around 1% magic damage reduction
+5 defence levels
+180 hp
+400 base damage (compared to 2 chaos rings)

Side note: i chose chaos rings because i feel accuracy is fairly important for our skills.
- Caculations done with:
115 str
399 dex
3 mag
3 vit

    Sky cover+ rank 9, your level 80 go worry about misty vs heavenly lord vs attendance, the bm forums are dead Q.Q

    Im level 101 my display picture is wrong.

    Its 6 defence levels, 6% damage reduction
    180hp seems pretty irrelivant
    50% accuracy compared to r9+r8
    spark = +% weapon damage

    whos the numbnuts here, do your ****ing research before belittling mine

    Why did you find it nessecary to post information that can vary with build not compareing all endgame rings or endgame combinations. Why did you post flawed and incomplete information. Haveing fun with pw calc?

    Spark affects weapon+ring+phys attack adds+shards in the same manner as every other physical attack multiplier in the game....

    The R8 ring kinda sucks for an archer. The accuracy on a lunar ring easily beats the slightly higher attack on the r8 in pvp and the lunar comes with better physical and magical survival. R8 is only better in pve situations when survival is not a concern.

    The R9 ring has alot more to offer but a highly refined lunar will still have significantly more physical survival. R9 will probably have a bit more magical survival but has a lot higher attack.

    My bad im going off the description of spark in game??
    Im basing this off the only viable build for an archer pure dex, fist/bow archer wouldnt change the results much so there still valid.

    Unless you cannot afford better than r8 + r9 is not a good choice.

    yea ok r8 adds more patk, but you could just be wearing an extra cube neck on your finger.

    idk all the math or w/e but when I borrow a friends ring (2x +11) my pdef is like 18k b:dirty. Feels like im invincible to physical in TW. Obviously physical dmg is not the only threat, but helps narrow down your list of *danger targets* as opposed to taking a middle path where everyone is a "if they get lucky crits ill die."

    If I was insanely rich I would get 2x rings +11/12. r9 ring is pretty awesome already though so would just go w/ 1x lunar/skycover +10-11 w/e you can afford and r9.

    two points of clarification-

    1) ring physical damage is included in weapon damage, so it increases with sparks and adds even more damage to any skills that make use of some % of weapon damage.

    2) those damage reductions are applied multiplicatively after other reductions, so 6% will work out to be closer to 2% total for any character with decent resistances or defense levels.

    I'm an assassin, and I use R9 ring + Lunar ring. It's only +5 refines, but I find the bonuses it gives to be more useful than the R8 ring.
