i would talk to QuickClaw if i had a 1v1 in the first round with a noob guild instead of a 1v1v1v1 like the rest of the servers did.

regardless u dont know anything of this guild and u dont know anything about me so you still dont know if it is better if i DD or heal, we always have the best teamwork there possibly is.

talking about outgearing, i know your squad with a cleric with 24 sockets jades and third cast cube/warsong belt is probaly not outgeared the other team i supose.

our veno had no R9 and we mainly brought her for the PvE part your 2 veno's are full R9 +12 etc but i guess again your skills are way better then ours. in the end we beat 4 guilds (3 in first round and 1 in final) while Tri-Force beat 2 guilds (1 in first and 1 in final)

we beat you guys at the pvp part regardless of the fact that our gears were better then yours and the pve part had nothing to do with being skilled, its just whoever brings the max DD to the table and u guys did that gratz.

if PWI wants to see who really are the most skilled pvpers on PWI then let them make a 1v1 tournament overcross servers or even better a overcross TW so we can roll all u guys 50v80 like we do on this server to.

gratz on winning, this tournament was 99% luck and 1% skill

    Uh pwnd!!!

you should talk about what you know, and evidently you don't know lost city. catalyst beating the three so-so (not knocking kylin, but seriously, gear and experience-wise, across servers, they would not be a top-tier faction) factions is not worth bragging about. everyone on LC knew the only matchup that mattered was instinct vs tri-force, and either of those factions would make an excellent fight for catalyst. those three factions are capable of putting the best 6v6 squads in the game, gear and talent-wise, imo.

but to sit back and diminish their pvp accomplishment is a joke. they fought a much more talented and geared faction, head-on, than catalyst had to face (or even could have faced; valhalla and crimson are not on par with instinct or tri-force). if you're bitter about losing by 20 seconds - yes, a substantial amount of time, not a few seconds - then get over it.

i don't mean to go the carebear route here but seriously, give props to another talented faction where props are due. as i said, catalyst, instinct, and tri-force can put out the three best 6-player squads in the game right now, as best i can tell. i don't think any of those three factions has any right to bash the other (even tri-force/instinct, as their matchup was very close and the tide was critically turned by a skill proc). all three are excellent, and yes, tri-force had a lot of planning and a bit of luck on their side, but don't for a minute think that them facing 1 average guild (first round) and catalyst facing 3 average guilds (first round) had anything to do with it.

edit: by the way, tri-force also didn't bring "max DD" to the table, they brought a balance between the pvp competition and pve. to be honest i was surprised they managed to beat instinct because they brought two venos for perma armor break / amp on harpy wraith (while instinct had two of the most OP/talented chars in all of pwi - their EA and psychic - instead). did those venos give them an edge over catalyst for defeating a pve boss? yeah, but it also put their pvp portion at risk, because they really missed having some of their own max-geared ranged DDs.

edit2: also ligeia thank you for the token post complaining about a game's management while continuing to support it both in gameplay and financially - the one reliable aspect of any video game's forums. god forbid anyone give praise for organizing anything in the first place.

This "PvP" tournament was all about PvE lol. We can all agree the best PvP squad couldn't be used because of the PvE portion, so lets not talk about who would win from those 2 squads when they wouldn't be used in a REAL 6v6 fight anyways..

All I'm really glad about was the chance to participate because I knew putting me in was mainly for the pve portion. So gratz Catalyst for being the HL Champions and ty for letting me be a part of the team. And thank you Harshlands for the fun ^^

Yeah me and NyKage figured as much because his dmg was bad but BM more of a support class in this kind of thing anyway. Smart to go vit build much harder to kill. Also he didn't use marrow ever (that I noticed) why was this?

not quite. what you're saying is closer to "iPods are faulty products and Apple's troubleshooters are lazy/worthless," while continuing to use your iPod nonetheless (and in all likelihood, supporting them financially as well). you're bashing the same product that you spend part of each day using and part of your money supporting.

not to worry, it's an attitude endemic to any online game. just wanted to thank you for reminding us of that fact.

    I'd go with 90% gear
    9% luck
    1% skill

I've seen catalyst in action, they're generally very good in terms of target focusing, teamwork, everyone doing their jobs, etc.

That clearly wasn't the case here. I guess it wasn't needed though cause they still won.

I have a hard time believing anyone in LC is worth a **** in PvP based on past experience there.

On a side note, holy *** with abusing the FC bug, how many 105's are there now?

    99% skill
    1% luck

I used Leona's ult to stop a fiddle from ulting after he went inside a bush during a teamfight.

    99% luck
    1% skill

I charged 50 gold to buy some Ocean orbs and +11 my gears.

    100% skill
    0% luck.

I haven't really played the game in a while but they must have buffed up hypers or 3rd past is more OP. I mean it took me like 1-2 months to get from 90-100 in the third past just on mijis. I should really give this game a try again.

it's a matter of using a product frequently (playing pwi daily) and supporting it financially (through the cash shop) while complaining about the very same product you're supporting. it doesn't matter whether you're complaining about pwi or just its management; you're still supporting both the product and its management through frequent usage and financial support.

now let's kiss and make up, ligeia, this thread needs some bro-mance b:kiss

It does matter, actually. PWI is an okay game, and I don't have to think much of the people who pretend to run it in order to play it and enjoy on some level.

so long as you acknowledge that both your gameplay and your money supports those people who pretend to run it, then i suppose we're on the same page.
