Hey all, we will be having Server Maintenance tonight from 11pm PDT until 1am PDT!



And for the usual maintenance question:


What did you think of the first day of PWIC Tournament festivities?

    Patch Notes Version 545
    Released July 20, 2011

    Faction Base
    The Wandering Artist is getting senile and wandered off prematurely. We have relocalized most of the quest text for the Wandering Artist and his pets so that they make a bit more sense. Things to note:

    The greeting text for most of the pets have been changed.
    Tears Bamboo is now Young Bamboo.
    Bird's Nest is now Giant Bird Egg.
    Lost City Oil is now Lost City Honey. We don't know why your pets would want to eat oil.

    Fashion
    JJ fashion set with Chinese characters in the name have now been changed to the Celebrity fashion set.

    Misc.
    Fixed instances of "Bowmans" to "Bowmen".

    "Frangrances Wine" will now be referred to as "Fragrant Wine".

    Some of the Maiden-Kissed Chests were incorrectly named. They have been changed back to Heroic Chests.

    should make all fights 1v1/6v6, FFA = gank always.

    PVE boss = ...

    even if you really cant xfer chars could prob just make a charm w/ same stuff, or better yet supply all players with similar gear.

    my moneys on ... secret xD

    A FFA tournament is pretty lazy.

    A 2 round FFA tournament is half as lazy but still pretty lazy. Next time do a real bracket.

    Also it's beyond dumb to have a tourney at 3pm on a weekday

    I'm keeping my eyes peeled for tourney footage ! It was nice to hear people had fun and also a bit of a shock to hear that HT's champions got wiped by Harpy Wraith

    Early manual patch link: Patch 542-545 (11.5 MB)

    As usual, do not install the patch until after the servers go down for maintenance or you won't be able to log in until maintenance is completed.

    As for what I thought of the first day of PWIC Tournament festivities, I think Harpy Wraith's time on Heaven's Tear will be hard to beat. Good luck to Harpy Wraith in the PWIC championships in China! b:chuckle

    Well, in his defense, I did give him very vague updates on the other servers while he was still recovering from a mystery bug.

    tbh im not too interested in this event at all i turned down the opportunity to do the event because its not fun going against +12 people when your +3 armor and +5 weapon. if they woulda made the event with a set gear i woulda jumped at the opportunity but without the set gear its just a competition of who can swipe their credit card the most.

    I don't claim to be great at it or anything, but I did take about 30 minutes of hi-res footage, which is currently claiming 60 gb on my hard drive.

    I do plan to take more tomorrow, just need to remember to bring my 500gb external drive

    The tournament was a failed timing.

    Why?

    Cause people who cash-up to +12 and get r9, they go to work durring day time, cannot take days of cause of Championship.

    Did GMs ever think about that? I guess not, or else they would have had the Championship in the evening or week-ends.
