Do characters lose their strength if gone unused for a while?

It seems that, whenever I stop using a character for a while and then go back to them, they're weaker. So, do characters get weaker if you don't use them constantly?

EDIT; okay, let me be more specific. My character isn't doing as much damage, and is also taking more damage than before.

    If you had say a Jones Blessing equipped beforehand and by the time you come back it has expired, can seem like you're weaker.

    If it's not something like that then, probably your imagination.

    No Jones Blessing.

    And I don't think it's my imagination- something 3 levels lower than me just got my hp all the way down to the hundreds. Being level 24 right now, I've got about 1000 hp. I used to beat the thing (an Abyss Screecher, actually) with a much lower decrease in hp.

    Did you check for changed / missing / shattered gear? Are you using the same method of attacking? Did it have any additional stats (Increased Physical Resistance, Increased Magical Resistance etc.). Were you using potions or a guardian charm that are gone now? There are many variables in PWI that can change the damage done to you / monsters. But no, over time you do not get weaker.

    This is so weird x_x

    All my gear is the same as it was before, nothings yellow, red, or shattered, and it's all fine.

    I use the same method of attacking for every mmo I play, so yes, I'm using the same.

    No additional stats at all.

    I save my potions for bosses and stuff.

    Never... used a guardian charm. Whatever that is </noob>

    Nope. An other possibility would be that you simply aren't used to your character anymore. If you were playing a character that is stronger, your other unused character might seem weaker to you.

    Benae is the strongest character I have, and pretty much the only one I use. My computer crashed, so I haven't been able to use PW lately. Just got fixed like, three weeks ago, and I swear something's different.

    No they don't, but if you haven't played for awhile, you might lose touch on how to play with it :P

    did u check to make sure that 1 mob wasn't an elite mob like those inside all the FB's and outside the fb19's.

    i remember back b4fore tideborn mobs didnt have numbers in the hp bar, and if you werent looking for the extra gold stuff at both ends of the hp bar you would never known that the darkbrreed wolfkin is an elite mob.

    i was like: oo a cool wolfy mobs lets kill it..
