    The majority of mystics are powerleved in FC until level 90+ and then quit anyways.

    Um. I fail to believe that in 2 years of doing nothing but grinding/questing/regular instances, you've managed to hit 103. Surely you care about leveling, and I'd bet you have done things like Frost for extra exp. I mean, you're 103 on a PvE server. C'mon... :P

    Um. I fail to believe that in 2 years of doing nothing but grinding/questing/regular instances, you've managed to hit 103. Surely you care about leveling, and I'd bet you have done things
    like Frost for extra exp. I mean, you're 103 on a PvE server. C'mon... :P

    But yeah, I don't dislike mystics. They can be a clerics best friend as long as the communication is right. When I join squads with a mystic, I always ask politely for rez buff and if I see them put down their healing plant, I tell them I have it under control but thanks for the help in the most polite way I can. IF they ignore me I just use the extra healing as an excuse to debuff/dd more often. Really not that big of a deal. imho. Mystics are great because they can do a few different roles in a pinch, even if they can't do it as well as other classes. They kind of remind me of bm tanks back before anyone had 5 attacks per second and most people used axes. Sure a squad would rather have a barb do it, but if they couldn't find one it was nice to know they could still manage without them.

    In most situations, a Cleric is better than a mystic. Even I will say that. They simply can't compete with the heals, the buffs, and the perks of the BB.

    However, I'm always very happy to see a Mystic in a team, especially in FC. If at any point the cleric lags, has a bad day, or just isn't good enough, having that res buff is great as it allows me to get back up in time to catch the XP from the big pulls. Plus if the Cleric's BB/healing isn't quite enough, the mystic can drop a plant or just a heal spell, and that makes up the difference. Or if they're willing, they'll sometimes use their salvation buff to cut the damage I take to almost nothing (a nice tactic for the big pulls). For a tank, that's down right heavenly.

    You'll always have the arrogant/stupid ones. Every class has them. But that dose not make the Mystic any less of a support class. I'd rather have a mystic in a team than a DD. The extra perks are just too numerous to ignore. Which includes more than once having a Mystic save my neck when the Cleric has a problem (major lag, DC, stupidity, arrogance, ect).

    He has been playing as long as I have. He was always in one faction since he started playing. May still be IDk but it was small family faction type. Barbs dont die as much as other people, especially good ones. He probably had lots of good squads and did fc sometimes, deltas, bh what have you. Just because people do those instances does not mean they get all spazzed out over dying without a res. And you missed his point entirely.

    How do you mean? In terms of damage per second, yes, they damage more than wizards. Hit harder? Nope. Wizards have 1-hit knock-out skills, that take a little while to cast. If Mystics had these, they would DEFINITELY be overpowered. But no skills like Blade Tempest or Black Ice Dragon Strike. Maaaan they can damage though. b:victory

    Well I like vital herb... it comes in handy when I'm duoing FC with a mystic... they put up a healing herb and it heals me while we both attack. Things go much faster that way.

    If the clerics are having a bad day the mystics shine, of course. Because their a wannabe class that has to use the disadvantages of others to "shine" and be awesome.

    I don't think they are trying to out heal, they are trying to help usually. All but a couple of the mystics I said this too said, "okay," and got to the task of dding. When asked, she said she was just trying to save me pots/make my job easier on me so I could do a relaxed run because she knows from experience how much it can suck to be the only healer. How about talking to someone nicely instead of acting like a brat, might find nicer people than you realize. Not everyone is out to get you or trying to show you up.

    I was with my assassin earlier in BH59 and we had a barb, sins, cleric, and one mystic.
    While fighting Zimo the mystic managed to out DD the barb, and sins. Doing so killing the mystic, killing the cleric and eventually squadwiping because they are IGNORANT. They are always trying to out heal and out DD at the same time. It is quite annoying actually.

    my reason or hating mystics has nothing to do with mystics themselves... it is the attitudes of other people when I played mine.

    I have a level 80 mystic and stopped playing him because I got sick of hearing a bh squad say "we don't need a cleric, we have a mystic".

    I have a 101 cleric and I LOVE the mystic res buff, but mystic heal is about the same as clerics wellspring.

    I have a 90 veno and I LOVE not having to level mystic pets, but my veno could solo TT in her 70's (with herc), and my mystic... well it was funny when I tried.

    Someday I might start playing my mystic again, but for now, I will let the "new" wear off.

    That was purely one instance in which it has happened, its happened countless times btw.b:angry

    So when there is a cleric in the squad, a mystic is supposed to DD.
    what happened? couldnt the barb hold aggro? was the cleric DD ?
    how come the cleric was dead in the first place?

    Instead of saying how bad mystics are, cant you see how valuable they can be for a good squad dynamic?

    I did Delta succesfully all waves, at my level, with a cleric my same level.
    so whats your point? does the cleric hates me for it? coz i put plants and i look smexy?
    unless I have it wrong, good teamwork gives the same amount of exp according to level, not in terms of damage , nor healing.

    Instead of saying what u dislike about them, maybe its a bit better giving them your opinion how to do better? Since you know Mystics.

    If there is a cleric, don't heal like a cleric.
    If there is no cleric, you may heal like a cleric should.
    If there is a cleric there and you're furiously trying to out heal them with your spells and your dancing palm tree's then thats just wrong.

    This is a terribad example and comes down to you guys not doing your jobs well enough. If the mystic pulled aggro and promptly died and it switched targets to the cleric, why not pull aggro off of the cleric? Why didn't the cleric tank it until you could? I soloed that whole cave at 78-79ish I think (took way longer and way more cost than it was worth) just to see if i could. If i can do that, the cleric should have been able to take the damage for a few hits. The barb should have pulled aggro off the cleric after the mystic went down. And i'm betting if you twinked your character well you could have done the same and then ran away with him and forced stealth when he was getting close to being more than you could take, giving the cleric time to up everyone and ih stack the barb. You guys failed as a team. IJS

    @Above: Additionally bh59 can be done pretty straight forwardly with a caster tanking anyways, if either the cleric or Mystic had been on the ball they'd have been healing the mystic as soon as they'd started taking damage.

    Not only can they tank it, they are the better tanks if people let them get aggro good before going all out (and there isn't any 5aps at that level anyway to make it unjustified to do so) because they end up with a lower repair build and require less healing to do so. The bosses in there all hit for less at ranged naturally, and arcane armor is superior to tanking arcane damage. I preferred a wizard tank in there personally.
