Permission Denied

well, I've been playing this game for almost two weeks now and all of a sudden ALL of my permissions of playing the game or ANY GAME has been removed. I'm not seeking any help, I'm telling you straight up that your games are removing permissions on MY computer so I have NO ACCESS to them at all. Good day.

i rather suspect some other human being has access to your computer, and objects to your playing games on it.

If you could tell us exactly what is happening so we can help you, I've been playing for 2.5 years and PWI doesn't mess with permissions on your computer or mess with anything on your computer, I suggest scanning your computer for viruses.

It's free after all. Note this is not the recommendation of PWE staff, but my personal recommendation.

Often time’s players’ antivirus programs will falsely flag our game files as threats. This makes it hard for installation to complete unless you add an exception in your firewall and/or antivirus application.
Please see if any of the information below might help you...

Add the game folder and/or game file to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.

Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International

You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to download, install, patch and login to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.

It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

Sounds a lot like the fake malware program ****. It goes under different names, but the most common I think is Windows Antivirus 2010. I've gotten that before, and helped a few others who got it. Very hard to get rid of. MalwareBytes is the best to work with it, but if you're already infected and don't have it yet, you'll need a friend to help.

Or you can download the mbam file to a flash drive, boot up in safe mode, scan, kill, profit! ^^.

Right, but that particular infection prevents you from downloading the tools by forcing you to run through a proxy. It's pretty nasty. If that's the case, you have a friend DL it to a flash drive or CD
