I got gear rewards from a quest but can't decide which one to chose?

right now im wearing the scared tortoise legging and the robe of serpent lord. So my lv8 armor will match the lv8 legging if I choose the legging as my reward; while the belt gives more phy res tho. My current phy def is abt 850 after buff and 520 before buff...b:surrender

    arcane armor wearers usually wear physical defense belts and necklaces, precisely to improve their otherwise very weak physical defense. so an ornament that'd increase that for you would be a good thing --- unless your current leg armor is very much worse than the divine order one.

    ultimately, it's up to you. but: when you take damage and lose HP, what sorts of attacks is it usually that's doing the hurting? increase your defenses against that.

    To put Lenie's response another way:

    You're going to be wearing arcane armor anyway (most likely), and the Maxiskirt is a very good choice for that (my only qualm with it is that it doesn't match the Cosmos set >:[ ).

    The belt is a good all-around choice for any character, really. It is, admittedly, hard to find a pdef belt in that level range that's as good as Imperial Edict.

    Personally, I had the same choice as you on my Arch-server cleric recently, and I went with the Maxiskirt. But in retrospect, maybe I should've chosen the belt because it would've lasted longer for that character, since I plan to swap out for Dark Pants of Hades at 70, anyway. :P

    In the end, both are good choices and you wouldn't go wrong picking either of them. :)
