Now I realize that PWI has it's reasons for not listing these in advance, but in my opinion, it would boost sales - -and- game play. We could then plan in advance, get out there and grind to try to raise the ingame gold for items we want, or we can earn side $$ irl .
I just think in this case the benefits outweigh the issues and I know it would mean more footwork for PWI but at the same time, it would lend to retaining existing players and show to potential players that you have all this cool stuff going on and annouce it - well in advance.
Please, try to atleast consider giving us 4 weeks notice, and if not that maybe 1 week? Some of us do not use a credit card (only debit) or farm ingame for coin to buy gold in AH.
While the surprise is nice... well.. some of us want to save for specific things in CS. I know I often bought this or that on week 1 and blew my ingame savings and could not buy an item on sale in week 2.
From a programming standpoint, a simple static calendar with a drop down menu or 3 menu selections, the item in the date box - and a link taking you to related information (the same information you post for each update already). Just have the link bookmark to the blurb. Easy to archive.
Um, there's really no need for such a system. If you were to observe the recent sales and the intervals between similar sales, you'd be able to predict the next sale with reasonable accuracy. And before you say that's impossible, it's how the good merchants get their profits. And heck, that's how I could afford my Rank 8.
As for the events and changes, they cannot really do that since they don't know any of them. The in-game events and changes that we get depend on the Chinese, not the US portion. And the out-of-game events are usually long term anyway.
Also, they make more money by having their sales be a secret. If not, the cash shoppers would just zen it up whenever there's a zen sale, merchant that up for profits and use that to buy the stuff instead of cash shopping it all when the sale itself is on.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.0
