Changes?

I haven't been on PWI for a very long time, yesterday was perhaps the only time I've logged on more than an hour in about 5 months. Has anything changed in my absence? I assume the saying "playing for free, but pay to win" still stands but other than that is there anyway a player who doesn't cash shop has anyway of being considered "good" now a days? According to some other players, since they made rank 9 so easy to get if you spend $$ on this game, it's reasonable to quit if you have no intention of paying for the game.

But i may have received some false opinions there, so now i'm asking you Lost City. Is coming back to this game without paying for it worth the time or should i just uninstall right now?
I know players i personally know well say quit right here right now, but i'm actually conflicted right now, i want some pure unbiased opinions. Please and thank you.

    Honestly I'd say don't bother coming back. More often then not people log on, do there dailies, and choose a comfy spot in arch and afk.

    well i havent CSed but i still TW and PVP while i cant beat a lot of r9 people i can still beat R8 o.O

    Its a choice that you have to log on, look at the server and decide:

    Will you stay?

    Or will you quit?

    People will give you mixed opinions "nah dont bother coming back, nothing is being fixed and never will", "This is the most awesome game ever made!!!". I'd say "its a game, just have fun with it", but that's just my opinion, I like the game/server and probably wont leave until they shut down completely, but that doesn't mean i have to log on every day and stare at the computer trolling WC all day. Idk, make your own choice.

    Honestly, if you are willing to put in a little effort to earn coins, you can get pretty far still. It takes more time, but it is possible. Rank 8 is only 72 mil-ish when it is on sale, which is farmable. Other than r9s, all you REALLY need to compete is r8 and some good refines. Obviously the top spenders are still going to face roll you, but its still possible to find decent pvp without them there.

    Heck, alot of times lately I've seen pvp wars where despite sides, the r9s actually AREN'T picking on the rest of the people, allowing 2 mini-wars to happen: OP vs OP, and average vs average. Its been kinda nice b:pleased



    It all comes down to how much are you willing to put in, time wise. Will you farm the 72m for r8? Or for whatever else you want? If so, its still possible to have fun, just be warned that once in a while, you will be 1 shot for 25k by a r9, regardless of your gear b:surrender

    Depends on how you do it. If you buy the gold when the sale is on, yes, about 90m or so. But the smart thing to do is to buy the gold when its NOT on sale, and then use the gold when it is. My friend got rank 8 for about 65m by buying 72 gold when it was cheap and then waiting a week or 2 for the sale. Its about knowing when to buy lol
