It's one thing if you want the game to be kept clean. Its another thing if you're going too far. The fact that some of my friends names were bleeped- innocent names mind you- made me actually look up these bleeped sections and I genuinely learned a new cuss word from the censors at PWI.

That.... is sad.

You're not helping anyone if you're impairing conversation to the point where people HAVE TO LOOK UP what they're saying wrong, because they didn't write the word or phrase that is being censored, they wrote a totally different phrase or word that got bleeped for containing the bits you don't like.

Find a way to only censor it if it is exactly what you don't want said. Don't bleep partials or fragments of sentences. Or ch*t g*ts r**lly h*rd to r**d.

Sorry I know this has been hashed over before and will likely get moved to the bowels but I am seriously curious how many people learned a new cuss word from this epic fail in censorship.

If you did just say yes. You don't have to say ~what~ but at least say you did or didn't.

    What really shocked me was that if you type "pass out" it censors it. I then realized its because of the "*** out" that triggered it. Seriously, its gone way overboard.

    Some of those words and phrases that they have in the filter (even the new "fixed" one) had me laughing aloud...who the hell thought of some of those LOL b:chuckle

    Lol yeah. I remember seeing someone in WC asking for a GM after they added more censors.. half of his name was in ****** and he was asking for a GM. It kinda made me chuckle but yeah.. this is crazy

    No but really, I want to be able to say I took Japanese in school. And why did they take out the IME support? I used to be able to type in hiragana and now it comes out stars.


    Thanks for all the stars PWI but July 4th is over. Lets get back to naughtiness as usual. You KNOW you can't stop us if we want to say something. We WILL resort to 1337 if we have to.

    No matter how you fix it we will find ways around it, and you're a mature game anyway. Your characters are too realistic for young clientele. How is it ok that I can't say eat me but I can watch a girl run around in next to nothing with Fatty Double Ds and a waistline the best models wish they had.

    I had that the other day talking to a gm in the game lmao....... wat I DON't GET is what idiot designed these filters? Yes they went too far with it but ok.... PASS being bleeped out cause *** is in it sure, but "pass out"... the ENTIRE PHRASE, being bleeped out like this: ********

    Heh? how the hell does that even work when there's a SPACE between the words and OUT... OUT... what's wrong with OUt that it combines PASS OUT (spaced apart) together?

    We made a faction called OGames for Omerta. We do things, give away prizes. and everyone had a messed up name. Now over half the faction is nothing but ***** its so funnyb:chuckle
