Problem with bouquet petals at wedding

I went to a wedding today and a friend and i were having troubles with the petals after digging bouquets. This didn't happen with the ribbons or real bouquets and it didn't start immediately, but we were not getting contribution from the petals. They stayed in our inventory and we never got the quest for it. Our quest logs weren't full, and our inventories weren't full until the petals filled them up. I lost 500 contribution this way, and my friend lost roughly 1000. No one else at this particular wedding had this problem, so i was wondering-- has anyone else had this problem, and do we know how to fix it? It's obviously too late to get the contribution back, but i wonder if pwe is aware of this problem.
