Price on gems

dev or Gm's really need to do something about the economi on this game.. they give us *cheap* gear but no way to gem it... right now gems like DoD and Garnet gems are going for 60mil for garnets and 30mil for a DoD.... this is insane... they really need to do so ppl can get gems in their gear, i dont care what they do.. but just something, this game is just going down hill so fast it is not even funny

    Ur server is greedy and is not GM fault...

    on sanct the prices are like this:

    DoT: 7-8mil

    DoD: 15-16mil

    JoSD: 30mil

    Cit Gem: 20mil

    Garnet Gem: 30mil

    HT prices similar to you Goh but DoD/JOSD/Garnet Gem's a little more expensive.

    Hard to take the OP serious, just sounds like random whining/raging and possibly exaggeration about prices. As much as I hate how much gems have gone up in price it's hard to argue with the fact that these prices are set by the market. People want them, and those who can afford them think they are worth whatever they're worth.. so like it or not, the value of gem's are what the market sees them for.

    What i really dont get is this. Now that there's an infinite quantity of packs that are being bought, the price of items like Primeval/Savant stones, Lunar cape, Wepon insignas, cube neck and warsong belts have gone up for at least 10mils from their normal prices.

    Since were having 66% off (or whatever) from the packs, the prices are raising even if the supply is growing, with (i think) a steady demand.

    i guess is just greed again...

    What are you talking about?

    You can put 20k, 200k, 2m, or 20m gems in your gear just fine. The price goes up exponentially and the gains diminish as you pay more, so how much you WANT to spend is entirely up to you.

    But of course, that's not what you're really complaining about. You feel entitled to have the very best, and you don't feel like you should have to pay any extra for it.

    Sometimes a few distinct sellers corner a market and temporarily inflate a price, or they coordinate to drive prices up. Happens all the time. That's when people are supposed to stop buying, but most are too dumb to figure this out. So, this, combined with the high demand, high amount of coins floating around, means major inflation until there's a legitimate coin sink to devalue.

    I see...well i guess ill wait to buy my lunar cape.

    Any way im not even at 50% of my stairway to 3.33base with 13k HP, so i guess ill just wait.

    I could actually raise a stupid alt, pay 8mil for a 69 trophy cape, buy 15gold at 2mil (b:surrender) and get an account stash stone...

    That will make me save like 30mil more or less, for the prices we're having...

    the price has gone up because the value of coin has gone down, a direct result of people opening more packs, 50m coin doesnt have the buying power it used to have, but the demand for these stones has gone up, because more people are hitting 100 and want to endgame shard their endgame gear, and packs are the only place to get these shards.

    but as you pointed out GMs (or whatever label you want to put on the people running things) dont have anything do with the price of things going up, because they have no control over what is in the cash shop, what the prices of things in the cash shop are, and what desireable thngs people would spend their coin on in the games that would take coin out, and not just move it around. so it cant be the game, it must be all those greedy players keeping what you want away from you because you dont want to pay what things are worth. oh wait, that would be you being greedy, so that cant be it either.

    A sale on Packs does create more items, yes, but it also drives up the price of Gold.

    That means cash-shoppers who used to pay $20 and get 20 million to spend on a Gem now get 30 million to spend. Since they've all suddenly got 50% more money, prices are pretty much forced up.

    The fact that Gem prices haven't gone up by the same amount that Gold has gone up means that overall, Gem prices have actually dropped relative to the rest of the economy as a whole.
