Dude...where's my screenshot ?

Today i was having so many problem with DC, which is a thing i have never experienced in more than 2years of playing this game. This is happening since last patch i think. If the DC chain starts, i can get up to 8-10 constant disconnection.

This has made me kinda angry, so i decided to stop forcing and reboot/clean out everything. But it happens that the problem is still there. So i decide to verify the client.

So now the game is under verification and i check the forum and whatsoever. Then i remember i had made a very nice screenshot that id like to watch again and maybe edit for the fun.


And here is where i get the bad news...My last SS on the folder of PW is dated May 31th.

I cant find any of my latest SS so im wondering if any of you is suffering the same issue.

Pls tell me, there is a reason and that this can be fixed cuz i wanted those SS so bad

    If you're running Win7 the screenshots aren't even stored within the game client (like they 'should' be) any more.

    IF you're running Win7 you need to look in:

    C:\users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86){if applicable}\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\screenshots\

    Chances are you wont even be able to 'see' AppData (because it's a "system/hidden folder"): so you will also need to make sure you go into the Control Panel (view by large icons) / 'folder options' / VIEW (tab) / advanced settings and enable the little radio button for "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" [then of course, APPLY, then, OK]

    oddly I'm on win 7 and they're still stored in element/screenshot for me.

    If the game client directory is assigned proper 'ownership' permissions, then the SS's wont go into the VirtualStore, and they will go into the client :)

    However, it's impossible to predict everyones set up...

    If GohRaL cannot find SS's in the client hierarchy, then chances are they've gone into VirtualStore...

    I have windows 7

    This is the place where all my other SS are, except that instead of Program Files x86 is in the normal Program File folder.


    I have all my old SS up till 31th may, the problem is that the newest are not there...

    Ok, if the newest ones aren't in VirtualStore look directly in the game client element/screenshots directory ;)

    Im having the same issue as well... well i had this issue since the patch! My last SS was on the 21st right before the maintenance. Im running Vista and all my SSs are in where there are suppose to be, but after the 21st of June, i dont see any of my current SSs. So now im wondering if the patch goofed this up...

    They should only be in one of the two places

    -Directly in the game client directory tree
    -In VirtualStore (if using Win7)

    This happened to me a few months back.

    Originally, all my screenshots had been going into C: Games/Perfect World Entertainment/Perfect World International/element/screenshots

    Suddenly they stopped appearing there, and there was a new PWE folder not in the Games folder, so I checked there. It appears that now my screenshots are going into C: Perfect World Entertainment/Perfect World International/element/screenshots

    For some reason it just made itself an extra backup of some sort... idk what happened there. But I have old screenshots in one and all my new screenshots in the other. Maybe something similar happened to you?
