    When telephone companies first began hiring telephone operators, they chose teenage boys for the job. They switched to women because the teenage boys were wrestling instead of working and pulling pranks on callers.

    Well this is... enlightening.

    -The largest nuclear warhead ever detonated was the "Tsar Bomba," a 50-megaton Russian bomb. The original plans called for a 100-megaton yield, but were reduced for testing to curb the resulting fall-out. Only one was ever made, and it was detonated over Mityushikha Bay - casings for other bombs of this size can be found in Russian museums.

    Pelicans eat many kinds of live prey including other birds, such as seagulls and pigeons. They swallow their prey whole and fight the struggling, still alive victim down their throat to be digested; literally eating them alive.

    I usually fall asleep faster.. cause I don't lay down till I KNOW I can't last any longer, and as soon as my head hits the pillow, I'm out, like a rock. Till my alarm.

    ok this could be funny and educationly if ppl dont get perverted... so tryt o keep it semi clean so the mods dont delete it...

    fact 1... Female pandas only are fertile 3 days out of the year

    fact 2... It's impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

    fact 3...In Chinese, the KFC slogan "finger lickin' good" comes out as "eat your fingers off"

    fact 4... A cockroach can live for 10 days without a head
    fact 5... We shed 40 pounds of skin a lifetime.

    who is next...

    NO, it isn't! i already did it...it is not even hard! try it, if you don't believe me.

    EW! those litlle ****...! 10 days!? wow i'm impressed! but then again, ew!

    Now, to the facts:
    -spiders can see UV rays.
    -cockroaches can see Infra-red rays
    -a cockroach can eat almost anything, including industrial glue, wires, **** and even other cockroaches!
    -monogamous penguins and other animals may also cheat on their partners
    -Salmons (at least some species) die shortly after mating
    -hair and fingernails stop growing after you're dead, but, as skin "shrinks", they appear to be longer
    -people who have twins are more likely to have twin children than the others
    -turtles lay their eggs on the sand, and abandon their children (don't hate the turles for that, please! b:thanks )
    -Female black widows are much bigger than the male black widows
    -Male black widows often bring "gifts" (pray) to the female they wish to approach, as these letal females often kill and eat the males they mate with, after the mating is over;
    -A hair dryer needs more energy (electricity) to work for 10 minutes than a computer to work for 60 minutes;
    -On a planet with no atmosphere, every object falls at the same time, if they start falling on the same hight;
    -you are using PWI's forums right now! b:chuckle

    If i know more, but i can't remember it right now...as soon as i do, i will post it here! Congratulations for this great, fun, creative idea!

    ROFL that's hilarious! my mother is also like that... i tried to start a conversation, but it is impossible! every time she wakes up, she only takes 3~4 seconds to go back to sleep! i barely say a word during that time...so i quit trying to speak to her when she wants to sleep b:sweat

    REALLY?? wow! i'm extremely behind! i take literally HOURS to fall asleep the first time, and wake during the night...i am such an insomniac! T_T and the faintest light or noise prevents me from sleeping, too! and i can only sleep lying down...it is beyond me how some people can sleep on a seat!

    i remembered more!
    -elephant clans are led by females;
    -Hyena clans are also led by females;
    -The difference in size and streght is smaller on species whose individuals do not live in society;
    -A cuckoo's eggs look like other birds' eggs so that their mother can put them on that bird's nest, with her eggs;
    -Cuckoos need a lot of food, therefore, after they are born, they push the other birds (or their eggs, whichever is available) out of the nest. the cubs die when they hit the ground (they can't fly yet);
    -Flowers also have gender;
    -Dolphins have "names" within their groups;
    -Not every living thing needs oxygen to live;
    -There are beings with BLUE BLOOD! (i'm not joking. it is not fiction...it was told by my biology teacher and she showed us pictures on google...but i can't remember the name of the creature, and no, it is not a mutant.).

    firedolphin, just so you know, posting so many times in a row is usually poor form on forums.

    Anyways:

    The smallest measurable unit of time is the yoctosecond (one septillionth of a second).

    Left-handed people have a greater chance of being geniuses since 20% of all Mensa members are left-handed.

    the yo-yo
    I know boomerang's were originally hunting weapons, but I haven't heard this thing about yo-yos being weapons.

    But then again...they can be used as a kind of flail weapon (watch from 8:20).

    Just so you know, not everyone knows about editing their post. Not every forum allows this option, so some people may not even think to look for it.

    more:
    -the falling-trousers's "trend" started on the prisons...on all-man prisions, some prisioners lowered their trousers a bit to send a message to the other inmates (they wanted to show them that they were "available" to..."satisfy their needs" O_o )
    if the guys wearing that knew this, they would freak out! hehe
