Anyone else notice that genies seem to fail if you level them fast? I have tried to dump exp into many genies never get much better than 50% last once was good and 30-40 and than go 1 and 2 for next levels....These were fast dumping exp. Anyone have any tricks.....I wonder if you get penalized for fast leveling a genie?

Yep fast dumping is really bad to do and ruins your genie. I'm surprised you noticed since so few seem to find tricks like that but for best results you want to level it slow.

There are lots of other tricks that very few people know. One neat trick is to make sure to feed you genie to maximum stamina. If she's not at max stamina she'll have reduced luck for every upgrade.

The time is another factor.. for best results you want to level the genie in the morning between 9:00am and 9:30am server timer. You'll know if its optimal if you can see the sun and it's directly overhead, any other time you actually have reduced odds. Also make sure your client hasn't been connected for more than 99 minutes when you are leveling.

The squad makeup also has an effect on the genie. If everyone in the squad is the same level you get a pretty significant luck bonus, but you have to make sure everyone is nearby or you won't receive the full bonus. If you can't get everyone the same level just make sure you don't squad anyone lower level or you'll share their lower chances.

For you (since you are a cleric) you also get a luck bonus from leveling your genie in Plume City. This is the same for all the other races (except Earthguard who get the city bonus from Raging Tides). Anywhere in the city is fine but I find it easiest in the area around the Watcher of Earth NPC.

I hope this helps! Good luck.

Hey Asterelle, is this rly true o.o wonder if that actually works...I guess it just depends on how much luck you have and the growth rate of your genie indeed...but just curious about that, no offence xD never heard of it before =D

This strikes me as yet another unlikely rumour. Even if it made no difference, you would expect to SEE a difference, just because you get results in quick succession.

Still, I guess it's pretty easy to test out one way or another.

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

The % chances are mean across the board.

Also, levelling slow or fast etc doesnt change a thing, the chance stays the same, no matter what any rumour believing nubs say.

I have made numerous genies, both using slow and fast approach, always end up the same,

it just depends on luck, or if you are superstitious, go outside just as the

moon is rising, run on the freeway naked and shout, give me lucky points or something of

    that sort b:chuckle

There's no such thing as a pattern for getting the "best" LP. I spent 25 million spirit points on 10 Zeals. Eight of them came out with low LP by the time they hit level 40. On the last two I got 63/90 and 70/90 respectively.

I level all my genies fast... usually dumping spirit and excess cubes from BH metal. I got one 62/80 but sold it because it wasn't a zeal, but still have one gold zeal and a bunch of 51+ LP that could go gold or higher (ran out of spirit to try, and some on chars that aren't high enough level).

Genie lucky points are just from your luck. Why it's called "lucky points" I used to have horrible luck with genies until my 75/90 Longevity. I made a 61/80 Zeal and 50/60 Zeal as well. But these 3 genies are out of probably 30 of them that I dumped my extra spirit on. It's only because at 90+, I had so much extra spirit (11k+ atm) that I'm able to dump some spirit into genies.

    Lol.

All of my good genies, except for my mystic's genie (which was her first, and has leveled with her over quests, and is like...47/50) were leveled fast, all using Katzyn's surplus spirit.

Sure i leveled one genie over months it ended with 36/90 lucky points
Another I leveled within 1 day from 1-90 and it got 73/90 lucky points

As many others said this is just another false rumor, that people want to believe these rumors just proves how simple the human mind truely is

I spent a lot of time making genies, trying different tricks and so forth. None of it ever made any difference. I'd look for patterns fast/slow/full/empty, a lot of things like Asterelle posted and none of them did a damn bit of good.

It is completely random. There is no "trick" to getting a good genie. Same goes with refining tips too.

I do believe that when your character is created, it's given a particular "luck factor" =P I can open 100 packs and get all tokens, can't refine past +2 if my life depended on it... But my Cleric refined all of his gear to +5 with a mere 50 mirage and no stones to improve chances. He's got the same luck as me with packs though. My wife opens 20 packs and makes a couple hundred mil from the stuff she wins. (and that's after keeping the items she wants to use)
Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

ty all for your feedback...even those who were tugging on my chain:) I realize there are probably no tricks to things in these games....alsob:laugh if there is than those who knew them would not simply share it with some random stranger. I have made many genies on many characters and it just seems funny that my none zeals end up good (the ones you get randomly at start). My zeals tend to be middle of the road quality, yet so many people have genies with 70+ LP.

Before you laugh at me:) think about...this game is a computer program and thus must have some patterns and rules to its operations. I am by no means a computer person but if you understood how the game was programed could you not maybe exploit its own design to get certain outcomes?

Anywaysb:laugh I have never seen or paid attention that chart showing odds of LP each level helps explain why I get a good genie and it goes to ****...the next level could very well be a 10. Those who get good genies probably catch the game at a good time. Sorry, this might not all make sense...as I am just rambling:)
