what's this dot?

so in friends list there is a blue circle with a yellow dot inside on the left of each name. if i click on that it either appears or disappears (the circle, not the name). what does that do?

    It's basically the same thing as the dot's with + or - in them in your quest list, or if you have groups in your friends. Nothing really important, haha.

    I wonder if clicking them "off" would prevent them from showing on your mini map as a bigger (and/or coloured, if you've assigned group colours..) dot? I'd test, but not of my friends are nearby atm x3
