I am so confused. I am lv. 3, I got the scroll for the wolf things (the options were either that or the scorpian ones), and I have the healing and reviving pet skill spells, but no taming spell. It doesn't show up when I talk to the trainer woman.

Soo, I don't know how to capture a wolf thing. Can someone please explain this to me? This is the whole point to being a Venomancer. :(

Please be as specific as possible considering I'm a major noob. Thank you.

Well, what you should do at level 3 after you have gotten the egg and the books from the quest is you have to go to a pet trainer and it has multiple options "Hatch Pet Egg" where you click on that and drag the egg in there, click a button and your wolf will now be in your pet bag.

There is another option (note that's only at Pet Skill Trainers, not Pet Managers) where you can "Learn pet related skills" that's what you should click and it should show the Heal Pet and Revive pet skills, which after you learned them the books should disappear.

Now for the tame one, that quest starts at level 7. You'll get a quest to go and talk to the pet skill trainer, and she will send you to catch an animal (note this first "catch" is done the old way, you'll get the skill afterwards) Basically you have to find some meat from an animal and go to this spot that's not too far from Broken Bridge village, set up 3 traps and cook the meat, then the animal will pop up and soon be caught by some green light.

You then return to the pet skill trainer and hand in the quest, and you should get a tame book. Now you do the same thing as you did with the Heal and Revive skills (Learn pet related skills) and you should be fine.

Now before you go out and attempt to tame everything you see, there's one more thing to taming. Basically, the pets that have an icon (Green, Brown, Red) next to their name ARE tameable 100% sure. Now the green icon means you can tame that easily (or that you are above their level).

Brown means it's not as easy to tame them (or that you are their level).

Red means you can not tame that monster until you reach it's level or higher (you're below its level).

What I'd suggest you do when you attempt to tame anything is you get it's HP down a bit lower (pokemon eh *w*) for a better chance to catch it.

One more thing ^_^ to summon your wolf, you have to press P and click on summon. To stow it, click on stow while it's out. You can also drag it's icon on the skill bars, and once you press the key that you set it as, the pet will either pop up or unsummon (if it's already out).

Once you catch another pet, just take the egg to the pet skill trainer and hatch it like you did with the wolf, you'll only have 2 slots in your pet bag though, so I'd choose my pets wisely (you'll get an expand pet bag quest later).

    Hope that helped *w*

Remember to feed your pet enough to keep its loyalty up. With higher loyalty (no more than 500) it deals more damage and gets more exp. Loyalty decays over time so it's handy to have some water in the inventory.

You can buy pet food from the pet managers or trainers.
