What to put into oceans...

ok before i get flamed with "garnets duh you stupid noob" posts... im just asking for general knowledge what would be a useful to put into r8 dags... 2 Immaculate Garnet Shards or another higher damage shard like a Jade Gem with +150 Metal damage or similar shard. i can barley get r8 gear so getting drake stones or +100 phys is out of the question...

    2x G12 MP shards.

    No offense but garnets are a no-brainer here. Unless you have no dex, an unrefined weapon, and never use skills ever.

    Garnet.

    Garnet added on weapon count as weapon damage and you gain more than just its face value in damage in your base damage. Each garnet shard's face value is multiplied by (1+ DEX/150 + 0.6), and that's the damage being added to your base damage. The 0.6 becomes 0.75 if you have demon mastery. When you spark, you gain XXX% weapon damage boost to your base damage. Since garnet counts as weapon damage, its value gets multiplied by 5X and adds to your base damage when you triple spark.

    The added damage of elemental shard is constant at face value.

    ty okeano... i was going to go with garnets unless someone told me somthing amazingly true that i didnt know... btw i do have dagger devotion so that helps... now to sell my decide +5 claws for 60mill so i can afford to get rep lol... i hate being poor...b:surrender

    and yes true i figured it was a 99% no brainer but i just wanted others opions on any ground breaking news that i might have over looked... all my other weapos have garnets so lol...

    I'd say immac garnets until you can afford g11's

    g12 is out of the picture, and g9-10 aren't worth it.

    It actually comes down to what one plans to do.

    There's really no point in putting in G11 shards to a weapon that isn't your final weapon.

    Personally, I'll be sticking with the R8 dagger for quite some while and I'm planning to start with 2x G9 garnets (Perfects) and eventually put in 2x G11 (Garnet Gem). Of course, the difference between Perfects and Immaculates is small. But the amount of time it'll take for one to easily afford 2 Garnet Gems might not be so small.
