Two Clerics are better than one when it comes to Ancient Evil.

Always heal at max range, and tru to have the tank between you and the boss.
When you see him coming for you, hit double/triple spark.
Use genie too, with skill like absolute domain.
Try to always have plume shell or WoP on you.
You don't need a second cleric, but other melee DD needs to stay at the same spot as the tank; if they die, its easier to rez them.
For range DD, it's better if they are not near you: if the boss comes after them, you can't know if he is after the range DD or you, and you will waste a genie skill or a double spark.
    That's about it.

Once you have around 5.7k hp and 3-4k phys def, he can't one shot you anymore, so it's easier.

Have self duo'd it by putting my cleric in a bb with phys defense charms and kept my bm in between. I put a tangling Mire on my cleric and would pop it as my BM triple sparked, then as I attacked on my BM I had AD ready.

Point of this is physical defemse charms on cleric and absolute domain.

And of course, pull the mobs to the side and kill them first.

I'll second phys defense charms, I used them back when I was farming him alot. he usually doesn't take to many though it does partly depend on squad make up and how quickly you down him. But usually only took me 3-4 def charms, which isn't bad as an extra safety guard especially if you're solo healing.

Also, climb up the wall to your max range from tank. I rarely get hit up there. b:chuckle It depends on how your party does it though, I've always done it with guildies who do it a certain way.
