Why do I get this?

You see that weird grey thing instead of the actual animation?

Why do I get that instead? It also happens with nearly all of my skills, sin skills, discipline genies and a myriad of other things.

Any suggestions helpful comments?

    if i had that i would probably uninstall game restart comp, and reinstall again.

    Looks like an issue with the sprite textures loading... I have the same problem sometimes on my Mystic's Nature's Vengeance skill (among other things). Sometimes part of the animation turn up white. It only means the texture hasn't loaded on the model. It's not going to harm the gameplay or anything but it is annoying.

    Anyway, I would do what endless suggested and try reinstalling, or perhaps run "verify" on the client launcher. If you run Verify on your game, you may need to update again afterwards as some things may have reverted back to their previous state. If it isn't fixed after that, all I can suggest is sending in a ticket with the screenshot so someone looks into it.

    I suggest you install new grapchics card drivers from your graphics card manufacturer official website. If that doesn't fix it, then your graphics card is most likely busted.

    By the way, those spots are more commonly encountered when using ATI-manufactured cards. I switched to nVidia and it fixed everything. Hope it helps. b:chuckle

    I have an ATI card, but the weird thing is->when I had the game installed before it was all fine. Then my computer crashes and it does this, maybe I do need to update my graphics card drivers.

    That must be it. I remember when I had my ATI card, all these black holes appeared in the concrete in West Arch, looked like sewer lids were stolen over night. b:chuckle

    Your video card doesn't support the newer versions of pixel shader. The game is now using pixel shader 3.0 where previously is only used 2.0 Likely the only solution is an updated card or drivers.
