Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) (also called PMT or premenstrual tension) is a collection of physical and emotional symptoms related to a woman's menstrual cycle. While most women of child-bearing age (up to 85%) report having experienced physical symptoms related to normal ovulatory function, such as bloating or breast tenderness, medical definitions of PMS are limited to a consistent pattern of emotional and physical symptoms occurring only during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle that are of "sufficient severity to interfere with some aspects of life".[1] In particular, emotional symptoms must be present consistently to diagnose PMS. The specific emotional and physical symptoms attributable to PMS vary from woman to woman, but each individual woman's pattern of symptoms is predictable, occurs consistently during the fourteen days prior to menses, and vanishes either shortly before or shortly after the start of menstrual flow.
Only a small percentage of women (2 to 5%) have significant premenstrual symptoms that are separate from the normal discomfort associated with menstruation in healthy women.[1][2]
Culturally, the abbreviation PMS is widely understood in English-speaking countries to refer to difficulties associated with menses, and the abbreviation is used frequently even in casual and colloquial settings, without regard to medical rigor. In these contexts, the syndrome is rarely referred to without abbreviation, and the connotations of the reference are frequently more broad than the clinical definition.
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) is a more severe condition, positioned as a psychiatric disorder similar to unipolar depression.
DDT (from its trivial name, dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane) is one of the most well-known synthetic pesticides. It is a chemical with a long, unique, and controversial history.
First synthesized in 1874, DDT's insecticidal properties were not discovered until 1939, and it was used with great success in the second half of World War II to control malaria and typhus among civilians and troops. The Swiss chemist Paul Hermann Muller was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1948 "for his discovery of the high efficiency of DDT as a contact poison against several arthropods."[2] After the war, DDT was made available for use as an agricultural insecticide, and soon its production and use skyrocketed.[3]
In 1962, Silent Spring by American biologist Rachel Carson was published. The book catalogued the environmental impacts of the indiscriminate spraying of DDT in the US and questioned the logic of releasing large amounts of chemicals into the environment without fully understanding their effects on ecology or human health. The book suggested that DDT and other pesticides may cause cancer and that their agricultural use was a threat to wildlife, particularly birds. Its publication was one of the signature events in the birth of the environmental movement, and resulted in a large public outcry that eventually led to DDT being banned in the US in 1972.[4] DDT was subsequently banned for agricultural use worldwide under the Stockholm Convention, but its limited use in disease vector control continues to this day and remains controversial.[5][6]
Along with the passage of the Endangered Species Act, the US ban on DDT is cited by scientists as a major factor in the comeback of the bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, from near-extinction in the contiguous US.[7]0 -
Rhyme, I had troubles understanding the word "United States".
Can you post a long wikipedia page on it to explain it to me so I can understands better?0 -
The United States of America (also referred to as the United States, the U.S., the USA, or America) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district. The country is situated mostly in central North America, where its forty-eight contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south. The state of Alaska is in the northwest of the continent, with Canada to the east and Russia to the west across the Bering Strait. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific. The country also possesses several territories in the Caribbean and Pacific.
At 3.79 million square miles (9.83 million km2) and with over 308 million people, the United States is the third or fourth largest country by total area, and the third largest both by land area and population. It is one of the world's most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries.[6] The U.S. economy is the world's largest national economy, with an estimated 2010 GDP of $14.799 trillion (23% of nominal global GDP and 20% of global GDP at purchasing power parity).[3][7]
Indigenous peoples of Asian origin have inhabited what is now the mainland United States for many thousands of years. This Native American population was greatly reduced by disease and warfare after European contact. The United States was founded by thirteen British colonies located along the Atlantic seaboard. On July 4, 1776, they issued the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed their right to self-determination and their establishment of a cooperative union. The rebellious states defeated the British Empire in the American Revolution, the first successful colonial war of independence.[8] The current United States Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787; its ratification the following year made the states part of a single republic with a strong federal government. The Bill of Rights, comprising ten constitutional amendments guaranteeing many fundamental civil rights and freedoms, was ratified in 1791.
Through the 19th century, the United States displaced native tribes, acquired land from France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Russia, and annexed the Republic of Texas and the Republic of Hawaii. Disputes between the agrarian South and industrial North over the expansion of the institution of slavery and states' rights provoked the American Civil War of the 1860s. The North's victory prevented a permanent split of the country and led to the end of legal slavery in the United States. By the 1870s, the national economy was the world's largest.[9] The Spanish American War and World War I confirmed the country's status as a military power. It emerged from World War II as the first country with nuclear weapons and a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. The end of the Cold War and the dissolution of the Soviet Union left the United States as the sole superpower. The country accounts for 43% of global military spending and is a leading economic, political, and cultural force in the world.[10]0 -

But I'm proud to be in a faction who still goes to TW with you, and still aims for you in the long run.
Wow, so you'd leave your faction because it became successful after all of the members' hard work? Wow, you're such jerk :<
Also, Valhala isn't aiming for anybody in the "long term", they're running away, and very soon that little patch of FLEAU on the map there will be won over by Valhala as they scramble to take up as many lands as they can.Fragil - Harshlands wrote: »I've left Mayhem for reasons that don't concern you or this forum.Fragil - Harshlands wrote: »...Wasn't going to join Catalyst, the previous map owner...

Didn't you say you were taking the map? So does that mean that "For Harshlands...for you" you're going to make it impossible for anybody else to own land? I could see THAT happening.
A Faction who is ACTUALLY for the good of Harshlands would let the little guys play once in a while. Until you prove to us you can do that, the rest of Harshlands will never believe a single word that comes out of your mouth, Curses.
Curses and Catalyst are evil. Now go CS and save the day! LOL, also all of you Catalyst GTFO of the Celestial Tigers event on Mondays pl0x, being DGd by Apologies while trying to kill the boss is not funny, and I personally hate Apologies very much :<
That said, it's my fault for not coming with my own faction member team and being prepared for a fight over the bosses for contrib...it's only logical that that would happen. But still, GTFO
Also, LOL, Go Valhala go! You want to save TW on the server, so push Mayhem off the map...of you could stop playing saints and just laugh at the server and properly play the game without the hypocrisy.I seriously wonder: people who don't RPK, if you play the board game "Sorry!" and you roll the dice so that you land on an opponents piece and send it back to the beginning, do you sincerely apologize and ask everyone if you can have a do-over roll so you can give your victim another chance? You have a very good point.0 -
I have a feeling this will be locked soon??I seriously wonder: people who don't RPK, if you play the board game "Sorry!" and you roll the dice so that you land on an opponents piece and send it back to the beginning, do you sincerely apologize and ask everyone if you can have a do-over roll so you can give your victim another chance? It's a god damn game..

Soy shut the **** up idiot. Soysauce is so dumb because he is is a condiment produced by fermenting soybeans with Aspergillus oryzae or Aspergillus sojae molds,[2] along with water and salt. After the fermentation, which yields moromi, the moromi is pressed, and two substances are obtained: a liquid, which is the soy sauce, and a cake of (wheat and) soy residue, the latter being usually reused as animal feed.[3] Most commonly, a grain is used together with the soybeans in the fermentation process, but not always.[4] Also, some varieties use roasted grain. Soy sauce is a traditional ingredient in East and Southeast Asian cuisines, where it is used in cooking and as a condiment. In more recent times, it is also being used in Western cuisine and prepared foods.
Not to mention he sucks at starcraft 2.
This kind of **** happens all the time. I recommend one of the following two options:
1) Detach yourself completely from SC2 and the SC2 community so you can avoid the constant bombardment of rage-inducing reminders.
2) Become the greatest ****ing Starcraft 2 player in the entire ****ing universe and make it a point to crush every pro player she's ever even flirted with. And then, one day, when you're standing atop a mountain of corpses in the heart of Seoul and you're sipping soju from the skulls of previous champions, she will be there. She will come to you. She will crawl through the blood and the muck of spilled intestines and defecation. She will claw her way to the top of your fleshy throne, and she will collapse at your feet. And when she looks up at you, her glistening eyes screaming in desperation, and she whimpers,
"the7ak3... i... i... i'm so sorry. i love you."
you will close your eyes, smile, and you will reply:
"it's okay. i forgive you. but love? you don't know love."
you will reach down and hand her your skull of soju, you will walk away, and you will never be heard from again.
And like Day9 said; The ***** (plural penises, penes) is a biological feature of male animals including both vertebrates (creatures with a backbone) and invertebrates. It is a reproductive, intromittent organ that additionally serves as the urinal duct in placental mammals.0 -
