This is how i see the servers. I can't login, no matter wich one I choose.
I don't have the firewall activated. The client has the latest patch.
Is there any solution to that?

MY screen shows the exact same thing his does except Raging tides and Harshlands are online it shows, and my server is sanctuary0 -
Ive had the same problem since yesterday. Not sure if its a PWI thing, my traceroute seems to stop at 216.52.95.73 for every server, but im not sure either how many steps should come after that. Also, i get a short chinese greeting message i cannot understand. Of course, rebooting my computer or router wont help and the game seems to be up to date as well.0

I had a chat with PWEs ISP, they said the problem lies with PWI servers, since on the ISPs side everything is static, but they can not ping the PWI game servers. The server my route passes through is border1.pc2-bbnet2.nyj001.pnap.net [216.52.95.73].
Also, hoping this might help solve the problem, this is how things look from the ISPs side:

It's not PWI's Issue, it's your router. Please disconnect it for 30 seconds, and replug it in.
I just did it and my problem's solved.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Its your router, im sincerely happy for you, but sadly, it is not my router. Rebooting my own systems and connections was the first thing i tried, of course. I did retry that, but the situation remains unchanged for me.0

Have you opened ports for this game? (as in maybe your internet provider is an entity like university that regulates internet portals and stuff, therefore you might need to get permission). I had the same problem, but with JD- asked to open ports for it and played it no problem
Hope that helped and sorry for my english :P0 -
Hey, I'm having the same issue. I was playing fine all of yesterday, and when I tried to log on today, I got the exact same thing. My firewalls are always disabled, so it's not that. And I reset my router, that didn't help either.
I thought it was a whole game thing, but the site says all servers are online. I hope this gets a resolution...0 -
I had a chat with PWEs ISP, they said the problem lies with PWI servers, since on the ISPs side everything is static, but they can not ping the PWI game servers....
You can't get a ping response from the PWE servers because they have disabled that ability as a step to prevent DDnS attacks.
Also, if you're ping to the server is over around 750ms, it shows blanks for the ping on the server. If memory server correctly, around 1200 or 1400ms the router stops waiting for the return ping and closes the window, essentially dropping the packet. Which makes the 2,000ms+ ping that it shows in the client even funnier. I have no idea how they calculate that number, but it's way wrong.
In any case, run a Tracert from your computer to the game server. Mine looks like this....Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600] Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. C:\tracert pwigc2.perfectworld.com Tracing route to pwigc2.perfectworld.com [64.74.134.24] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.15.1 2 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 76.226.19.2 3 403 ms 340 ms 438 ms 76.226.31.254 4 538 ms 508 ms 527 ms 67.36.65.1 5 639 ms 639 ms 651 ms bb1-p4-0.sfldmi.sbcglobal.net [151.164.98.105] 6 631 ms 689 ms 764 ms ppp-151-164-55-178.eulstx.swbell.net [151.164.55 .178] 7 714 ms 702 ms 701 ms xe-0-2-0-5.r06.chcgil09.us.bb.gin.ntt.net [129.2 50.8.53] 8 725 ms 754 ms 728 ms ae-7.r21.chcgil09.us.bb.gin.ntt.net [129.250.4.2 01] 9 854 ms 854 ms 853 ms ae-5.r20.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net [129.250.3.1 07] 10 876 ms 806 ms 422 ms ae-1.r06.snjsca04.us.bb.gin.ntt.net [129.250.5.1 3] 11 453 ms 425 ms 454 ms xe-0-0-0-4.r06.snjsca04.us.ce.gin.ntt.net [128.2 41.219.130] 12 543 ms 474 ms 549 ms border2.t7-1-bbnet1.sje004.pnap.net [66.151.144. 20] 13 * * * Request timed out. 14 * * * Request timed out.
Stop one is my first firewall/router, and stop 2 is my second firewall/router.
Stop 3 is the local CO of the ISP I connect to.
Stops 13 and 14 are in PWE-land. You won't ever get a response there because of safeguards on the routers.
Stop 9 is pretty common for getting bottlenecked. My in-game ping atm shows 430ms"No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style." - Steven Brust, Yendi

Yeah, I'm that good. b:chuckle0 -
Bump, 'cause I'm still having issues and haven't been able to log on in three days.0
-
I was able to get online for about five minutes yesterday... before it booted me off again with "disconnected from server", my firewall is for sure disabled(went into services and did it that way just to be sure). And it's in "trusted" in my anti-virus.
So, I was on for five minutes or so, then booted off. But, now it won't let me on.
Any ideas? Anyone? It's really frustrating. I've been playing this game for two years, and this is the only time I've had a problem with it.0 -
having the same server problem..and i have never even had a chance to play!0
