Did anyone else notice that most of the skills do require a longer time to cast? b:sweat

    Archer channel times are probably just as bad as wiz. The only reason they don't have a 4-5s chan nuke is because they don't have a nuke that does that much damage.

    However, archer skills do have shorter cast times than that of some other classes.

    A lot of archer skills have 1 second channelling time and 0.6 seconds casting time. Without channelling gear and without interval gear, this gives you the same attack rate you would get with a crossbow.

    That said, most channeling gear gives you -0.06% channelling (which is exactly like -0.06 interval for those 1 second and 0.6 cast skills), where you can get some decent gear with -0.1 seconds reduced interval. If -0.12% channeling gear (or even -0.09% channeling gear) was plentiful and otherwise decent for archers, I think you would see some archers gearing specifically for reduced channeling.

    Then again, you get auto-attack with reduced interval gear but skills are not so simple: you start to run into cooldown issues and macros can be rather clumsy to work with.

    Well ok they fixed cancel casting, but to my dismay i see the only way to take down sins pretty much torn apart in the same update. Archer lightning skills take twice as long to cast?! They now take almost as long to cast as wizard basic attacks. Not to mention the fact that all sins ad or ironguard into stealth so they cannot be hit, and the fact that my stun only has a 90% chance to hit them, before evasion, and before tidal protection. So... i have a 20% chance to stun sins by the time its done? and to actually hit them before they vanish? Lol thats not happening. Even quickshot has a ridiculous channeling time now..

    Like I said...archer lightning skills have always been as slow as wizard basic nukes...ask yourself this: if you were a wizard and a sin is in your face slashing it apart, would you cast gush on him right then? if not, then don't try lightning strike. just do something to make yourself not die...

    Um, I notice teh channel seems to have been increased but the skill animation seems to have been decreased/merged into the channel time as well. That what it seems to me unless I'm a total idiot and cant even remember how it normally was o.o

    RE-EDIT: NVm i think I'm just an idiot...

    RE-RE-EDIT: ok Nvm ^that, I'm not 100% sure on this but it APPEARS that the cast has been shortened while the channel time has been lengthened to make up. I don't think the skills themselves take any longer to fire off than they did before, but yes throughout the day I have found myself staring stupidly at my channel bar thinking it wasnt acting the way it used to lol. Again not sure on this but it's what I think.

    I think the channeling bar now include cast time as well. Took me 2 days to get used to it.

    isn't it the time after chan is done when the chan bar just hang in full until cast is over?

    But now I think the bar includes channel + cast time and doesn't hang around much after. Either that or it's just alot smoother. I'm pretty sure it changed during the last patch.

    That's what I said before, that I think they increased the chan time but reduced the cast time, which would make the bar hang in full for a lesser amount of time than it did before :o
