The problem started when R9 was sold in December instead of allowing it to be an exclusive gear type. At least Gms are consequent and everyone can buy or farm R9 and not just a few.Middle lane, middle lane.. b:shutup0

Game started it's downside when first Jones event came around the corner (turn in a doll or miji for stuff like shards, oracles) few days after HL and DW appeared, and died when first ani packs came out. People saying otherwise are just living in denial for quite some long time.
Srsly, PWE is just a f'ing joke.
This company has done nothing good for their players, ever.
Every single action/decision they have made, every new content they have added, just makes the game more miserable in one way to another.
Only thing that keeps most people here is nostalgia or old made friends.
Because there is almost nothing fun left to do in this game.0 -

the issue is you can "cash out" all the max stuff, like in one shot if you choose to spend the bucks.
the rift between farmers and cash shoppers is now bigger is what really happened.

BUT, no one can say that PWi is not playing some new cards here these days.
quests, mid-level gear, fb's, all the usual old school stuff is surely being rendered useless.
why would u build tt **** with gems +refines? total waste. stepping foot in a TT is a waste now. as is most of the game content.
buy heads. run it naked if you want, to level. **** quests/levelling gear etc..not needed. just rock to 101 in the rocking chair in a bunch of fc's if u want. charms+stack of oracles. do all your cultis at L90 to catch up.
they got their R9 free of good class experience
they got their R9 free of learning how to cooperate in tough dungeon runs
they got their R9 free of wasting more than a few days/weeks at the effort
they got their R9 free of the entire prior game structure.

R9 is overpowered? Time ago Nirvana was overpowered, before it was tt99, continue self..
and in a few its R10, R11, R12, whatever.
U can always "just load Gold and have ur Gear" or take the painfull way and farm it, so why in hell makes R9 such a diffrent that the half com needs to nag about it?

Not that long time ago it was a mission impossible to PvP against Nirvana gear, it was sooooo overpowered. There are really other things who mess up PvP, TW whatever a lot more than this silly R9.
In big TW factions it doest make a diffrence, they gonna gear up in the same way, the smaller faction hadnt a really chance before R9, whats the diffrence between getting ***** from R9 or some other gear...0 -

This time this gears titlet as "end-game-gear" . It was OP to the mass of players who was a green tt 80 "standart".
Point is, ppl nagging about that u can buy ur end-game-gear these days, but forget that you could do it always, just the name have changed and im sure about u gonna do it in the future too doesnt matter if it called R10, tt150 or donuts then.

Im going to agree with you for the most part, but not entirely.
The amount of people have jumped from meagre TT90/99 combos straight into full +10 R9 is ****ing ballistic. Seriously, people who were nonames before R9 had the cash, used it and now instantly became big named as it were.
On top of that, the difference between Rank 8 and TT99 / Nirvana was, while large, still managable. All you got was a weapon and chestpiece (TB / EG extras not counted) maybe legs for one or two who like theirs (Veno legs have the TT90 PDef awesomeness I believe?). The rest of your gear still had to be earnt / farmed / CSd to holy **** hell. You take that comparison to Nirvana vs Rank 9 and Nirvana is for children. 20x the effort, half the result.
Even tho you have always been able to buy your gear, it was never so many leagues ahead and so dependably bought. You can only buy your TT99 green mats if someone has farmed them, hence someone was making some coin and your money went down a chain, bettering everyone along the line. Now its Pay PWE and get 4 soc awesomsauce gear without so much as a blink of effort nor positive impact for ANYONE. Even the medals in DQ had some positives to it, the price was that much cheaper than us, the grinders, were able to farm a medal and sell it for 10 mill. We finally had a use and a profit line! We got our R8 etc farmed off that, and more.
Now you just get the best gear, no questions asked. All that remains is to shard it, and with packs opening at the rate they do right now.... ITs not taking long there either.0 -

99 was not OP to 90. 90 was not OP to 80. Hell, Nirvana was not even OP to 99.
On the other hand, it's very clear where R8 and R9 stand.
It was nearly a rhetorical question. R8 and R9 are considered OP because endgame levels have hardly changed at all, whereas the gear has gone insanely up on APS, attack level, and prevalence of G13 shards, all making damage quite insane for the same level range. Also because of how few attacks it takes to kill someone who is likewise heavily geared and sharded, never mind someone not as geared.
I'm not complaining, however, it is interesting that poster's point, which went over people's heads -- it seems that reading comprehension is not a common fourm trait.0 -

Only heavy CashShoppers or people without a life (can farm 24/7) can get rank 9 in my opinion. The only thing u can complaine about is, that ppl were able to get the Medals way cheaper before. But who knows if they bring them back in another way or lower the price with a may upcomeing rank 10 sale :P0 -

If you are going to cry so much about r9 being in the boutique, why don't you farm it yourself? In fact, I ENCOURAGE you to farm for it. That way, when someone else with r9 walks pass you, you can have bragging rights on the fact that you didn't spend half of your life savings on it.

QFT and is probably the main purpose of WHY a cash shop method is available.
While this game is not balanced in PvP (probably the main reason the free players are complaining), it's balanced to the point where a free player and cash player can obtain the same accomplishments with different methods (although the merit is obviously different between the two). It's an exchange of either time or money. The younger age group can be bored at home and stay at a computer all day to farm for their gear and can be proud of it. Busy working career people in the older group don't have that kind of time and sinking money into the game is their best method to enhance their own play experience. This is a cash shop game and this is probably the main reason WHY they allow you to buy things like endgame gear with real life money.
I'm mostly a player who plays for free, but I think anyone criticizing and stereotyping the entire cash shopping population is ignorant. Don't forget that if it wasn't for people like them, things like tokens would not be available for purchase via coins. I know there are some cash shoppers who just spoil themselves with gear and have the audacity to think they deserve any kind of reputable name as a competitive player, but don't include ALL cash shoppers into that category.
If your complaint is about the PvP being imbalanced, I don't know why some of you are surprised. If there is a free to play game out there with a cash method to obtain OP gear, wouldn't you expect some PvP experience to be imbalanced as a free player? If you can name a free to play MMO with a cash method for obtaining such gears that is not PWI and has a balanced PvP experience, why are you playing PWI still?
I used to play an MMO where I'd buy the game from a retailer and it would be free for online play after that. The service there was great, skills would get balanced, bugs would get fixed, and new content would be added (I quit due to the majority of the community being so elitist, making it hard to socialize, if anyone was wondering). This is one of the advantages to actually paying for the game itself. PWI is a free to play MMO, so don't expect everything to be so perfect -- only feasible to an extent. The only thing reeling in the cash for this game is its virtual items from the cash shop, so those will be the most functional things compared to the game itself.
While people do have the right to express their opinions, I'm starting to think complainers of this topic will complain only for the sake of complaining. I'm just not sure why the expect paid game service quality in a free game. If a free to play game with paid game quality exists, then go play that game instead.
TLDR:
-game farmers farm coins for gear (lots of time to play)
-RL job farmers farm $$$$ for gear (limited time to play; does not make them lazy)
-Not paying for game service (f2p MMO) =/= paid game service quality (p2p MMO)
-virtual cash shop items more functional than game because it's being paid for
-imbalanced PvP expected; being surprised makes no sense
-complainers complain for sake of complaining it seems[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
People you don't get. It's no problem. that PWI put medals to cashop. THE PROBLEM IS they lie to us. THE PROBLEM IS they don't care about players base and their opinion. For PWI is just main aim to earn money at any cost. They became TOO GREEDY.
PWI need still more and more new players, BECAUSE old player leaving. What do you think. How many players(included me) is playing more than 2 and 1/2 years? Not many. Two years ago I had lot of friends in my friend list. Then I stopped to play for about 8 months. When I came back, from my friend list was online just 1!!! friend. 99% of my friend quit the game. That's why pwi need still more and more new players, because old ones quitting, when they realize how pwi care about them. This is the biggest problem for PWI, because players base is NOT infinite.0 -

I love how you make it sound like we are happy about what they've done lol... Personally I am pissed about how budget among other things is being handled in my country right now. Anyway, R9 despite this pointless argument about the value of the dollar, is stupidly expensive. Even those who purchase from Europe will still have to fork over quite a bit of money. You cannot deny that fact.
I'm not even going to bother with R9, OP or not. I don't play the game very competetively, I don't PvP, so it doesn't really concern me. I have been on the game for over two years, spent plenty of time farming TT and some Nirvana runs too. I don't feel badly going for R8 for this character, since to me it will be less expensive. I already had a full TT99 set for my veno and was half there for my Cleric, so I dunno, I feel I've put in quite enough work over that time lol. I don't see anything wrong with raising the coin to get Rank stuff if you can afford it and have the patience. People can either go about R9 one of two ways: Buying Zen with real money, or going through the AH or other players directly, funding it through either some crazy amount of merchanting or other services (like those people who do Power Level services...). Either way you are techincally working for it, just not in the same nature as TT. Even though admittedly I miss the sense of achievement from farming TT myself for all my mats and such. :shrug:
You either go with the game's ebb and flow, or quit. It's all up to you whether you stay or not.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
