so at lvl 10 the skill reads a 100% chance to debuff the targets metal resistance by 35%. so why does it sometimes not proc when i hit my target? and when it does i notice my metal attacks getting more of a 15-20% boost but deffinatly not a 35% boost. whats up?

    Don't know about the whole 100% =/= 100% thing.

    But for the question about resistances, -35% resistance doesn't mean +35% damage. It depends on how much resistance they had beforehand since defenses/resistances aren't linear.

    what gummy said is true. 15-20% damage increase sounds about right also.

    ok that explains the 35% thing. but what about the 100% thing? anyone got an answer to that one?

    not quite sure as i havent had it happen....did you miss? maybe it doesnt land the debuff if you miss b:surrender

    Nah, can't happen. Our metal skills are actually counted as spells (100% accuracy, no reflect on Bramble, no effect from Bloodpaint, etc).

    It's weird, and definitely something to look in to (for someone other than me, since my Ion spike is only level 1 b:surrender ). Is it a decent amount of times that the debuff doesn't proc? Or is it like a 1/100 chance kinda thing?

    Take in account mob resistances. 100% is more like 60-70.

    It doesn't debuff 100% metal resistance, it has a 100% CHANCE to debuff. But somehow isn't happening all the time.

    no for real thoughi was doing my usual and very common combo of sousever + blade affinity + ion +gemini and i noticed every now and then ion wouldnt proc. i didnt write down the numbers or anything maybe i will later today, but even when soulsever would proc (so obviously i hit the mob) some times ion wouldnt. thats not a 100% chance
