I'm not understanding this

I went and killed Vastclaw Executioner(Public Quest I boss) and activated my 12x exp when he was about 80K hp left. But on killing him, I only received 48,928 exp! Noe, at 18Kish base exp, he should be giving a lot more than this. I even went and calculated the base exp after the level difference reduction(at my level I get 0.80% of that 18K) and I should still have received around 180K exp with 12x in effect.
Of course, when I fight mobs that should be giving me 120%(orange) and I activate 12x, it still calculates my hypered exp based off of the original value, without that 120% level modifier.

So I am not understanding exactly how the exp is calculated with hypers, both against orange mobs(120% normal base exp) and light green mobs(0.80% normal base exp)

Did you check the actual percent you gained? Sometimes there is a graphical glitch when it comes to what number it shows with x12 on bosses. You see it alot in frost. It will give you the correct amount, but will only display a portion of it.

An easy way to tell is if the spirit number is higher than the exp one. That never ACTUALLY happens, so if it displays that, it just means it didnt display properly. Next time just watch the actual exp percent, or calculate the exp gained in your character menu to see the difference.

Dyskrasia - Heavens Tear

Did you check via the experience bar how much you were actually getting? The exp display is known to glitch and not tell you the correct amount (with hypers) but you still probably got what you should have.

@LovesTragedy and Dyskrasia: Yeah, I checked and sure enough, I about 4%(48K would have only been about 1%) I did notice that the spirit was 37K, which also seemed too much if the 48K had been correct.
