Sin: Attack Lvl Stones or +75

I was curious exactly how the +attack lvl (DoT) stones work or if the +75dmg is better for end game gear. I ask this only because I'm not sure the calculations of how much more one DoT really effects a sin. I've seen people sharding both ways. Some with DoT some with +75. I thought I heard that ever 1 attack level you have increases your attack by 1%, but I'm not sure if that is correct?


Also, unrelated note if someone happens to know. People talk about sage only hitting 4aps (without windshield./genie) however, is that including or excluding pangu / love up and down tomb. And then with the extra -.05 tome, where would that put you aps wise?

    A Garnet Gem will always be better than a DoT.

    The math to prove it is straightforward and boring, so I won't include it here. Though I can post it if necessary.

    As for the APS question. The maximum APS a Sage sin can ever get is 4 aps. This includes all pieces of -interval: Barrier Thorn:Nirvana, R8 chest, Shadow Ashura Greaves, Ashura's Boots, Ashura's Bracers, Lionheart Necklace, Lionheart Belt, Energetic Robe: Lunar Glade and Pan Gu, Creator.

    Mk, I just see a lot of people running around with a lot of Attk +1 DoT shards in things (mostly capes, strangely) so wasn't sure if it was second best due to costs or if it was the better choice between the two.

    And thanks, wasn't sure what was included/not included due to the fact on BM forums most the time when people talk about reaching 5aps most don't include the tome in the build ( assuming you going demon though and, I do realize they are two different classes, so I'm glad I asked)

    Garnet Gem only +75 atk on weapon, that's why they put DoT on their armors
