But if the only way they seem to think they can make money is off gear progression, for those that refuse, or don't care to farm? well the only way to keep the game balance in regards to pvp, is atleast make it obtainable by even your average Mc Dondalds employee, and actually make it plausable over time to achieve in game.

But they wont, they seem to think they make enough money off that small minority of people that can spend few thousand each time they toss out a new level of gears.

It's harder to farm than TT because it take more effort, but it's still easy enough because if you simply decicate time to farming or merchanting you can get the money for it within a month. Rank 8 is NOT the equivilent of TT99, it's so much stronger. In the past in order to get a weapon with power like that it took over 100m, now it takes 60-70m at best? Yeah... giving everyone and their dog a cheap weapon that's extremely strong is totally balanced. Especially when in order to get gear that can stand up to it costs so much more than just 60-70m.

I agree that R9 is broken, I never said it wasn't. We're on the subject of R8, not R9, that's COMPLETELY different. Rank 9 is just... gosh... it's just plain horrible.

And ReMakaBo, I'm not sure what point you're trying to prove exactly - the same rep sales that made R8 so insanely cheap to get also made R9 attainable by the "elite rich." Before that it was the same nearly-impossible pipe-dream that Warsoul weapons were - not that anyone cares about those, now, since full R9 overpowers the supposed "ultimate" weapons originally conceived. Zan's essentially got the right of it, in that PW's underlying formulas for damage and migitation are just badly out of sync - throwing new gear or sales at the problem isn't going to fix it.
Bottom line, no matter what scale you're using to determine imbalance and broken gameplay, PWI crossed that line a long time ago.
