Glacial Walker won't level

I'm sorry if this has already been answered to but my pet won't level over 53. It has 1591/1600 EXP and doesn't gain any more.
I'm level 54 and grinding on lvl 38 and 45 mobs. ^^
I also tried reverting it back to egg but it doesn't work ><

Any suggestions?

    The mobs might be too low for it to gain any exp. You can still gain exp, but sometimes the pets don't if the mobs are 10+ levels lower. Trying killing a couple mobs your level and see if that works.

    after reverting it back to egg I haven't tried with higher level mobs. So I tried with lvl 52 and it leveled. Thanks for fast reply ^^
