How do people make their names?

I'm trying to figure out a good name for my female assassin, and I guess its hard to make one b:surrender

How did you create your character name?

    Think of a word that describes what I want them to be, then find a latin equivelant or meld it with another word.

    <-- Inferno (Fire, I use Blade Tempest a lot :P) with nia just cos it fits.

    Coincidentaly a pornstar also shares this name, but that really is incidental.

    Graviora is part of graviora manent which is Latin for 'the worst is yet to come.'

    Yuliet came from my little Romeo and Juliet kick when we were reading it in English.

    All others came from random letter conversions...

    Coming up with names is fun. :3

    For starters, my veno, male cleric, and male bm have names that are just jumbled syllables basically; Narriru, Nysiryn (which was going to be Nysirisyn, since I like palindromes... but figured was too long and cruddy sounding :P), and Rynaen (switched it from Rynean, which looked too common)

    My seeker is named Vyscarain, her name came from a flower called Viscaria, and a viscaria's meaning is 'will you dance with me?'

    My archer Xaiya got her name because I always find names that start with X cool, and it was a name I had used on previous websites. She was my first PWI character.

    My mystics both have names that are finnish words. Ikuisesti means forever, and Rankaisu means punishment.

    My female cleric is Zehavi, which is a variant of the hebrew male (b:surrender) name, Zahavi, meaning 'gold'.

    And lastly, my assassin is Siyanari, and her name came from playing around with a mineral who's name escapes me. She was going to be Seienyte, which is a variant of Selenite, a mineral.

    When I do my names for anything, I like to do (as mentioned) latin variants, foreign words, minerals, gemstones, and plants that correspond with my characters intended persona. Find an interest of yours and research some if youd like, youd be surprised what little tid bits you can find, and they might spark an inspiration. Hope this helps, good luck and happy naming ^^

    Destini (variant of Destiny, my wizard) has always been a name that I'm fond of. So much so that I was even willing to name my child such.

    Ivy_ (psychic)...can't remember why I thought of Ivy, I think it may have been because of a song that I was listening to.

    _Yvi (sin)...self explanatory, just flip the letters.

    Namari (alt wizard turned mystic) is a mashup of two real names, particularly my own first and middle name.

    Serenata (my veno) means "serenade" in Spanish.

    Avocet (cleric) is a type of bird.
    Censorship is the bane of creativity. Censorship is the bane of personality. Most of all...censorship is the bane of identity.

    My main is Ivy_. I'm better known as Destini. Also known as _Yvi. Yes, I have an identity crisis. b:chuckle

    Nah, facerolling keyboard is fairly consistant with what youl get. And I didnt say you couldnt remove a few Qs from the letter pool :p

    My name is a name my nephew came up for me many, many years ago when we were like...10? And we used to role play stuff like DragonBallZ. I didn't wanna be Bulma or ChiChi, so I made up an original character (I totally wanted to marry Gohan), and he came up with the name Katzen. A few year later, when I discovered the internets, I started using Katzen as my username, but sometimes it was taken, so I changed it to Katzyn...and here we are =D

    My ex main on the server im on name was Makatiel (cleric name after angel of healing).. so when seekers came I re-rolled and since im always called Maka, i made it ReMaka----then thought putting Bo at the end makes it sound like remarkable, so now ya have my new seeker name b:pleased
