weapon shards

So I'm trying to help a friend decide which shards to use for a weapon.

Now I've heard using elemental shards are a good (and cheaper) alternative to garnets, because they work with physical attacks, and can be better DMG vs heavy users in pvp. But do these elemental shards work with the seeker skills (since seeker skills are physical base damage?)? Or does the elemental damage from the stones only work with auto-attacking?

they dont work with skills, garnets do. use garnets

I use earth stones in my sins daggers hey seem to cut down players and water mobs pretty nicely lol but the extra elemental damage does not go into skills. So for a class like sin its not bad to use them but garnets work better. Only reason I have the elemental shards is I was poor when I got my daggers and I had 2 perfect topaz in my bank. I like how they glow green but I call them my LOL shards... cuz people go lol when they see them. I plan on switching them to garnets soon. But for now I don't mind them. Fc water mobs fear me lol.

Ps on my seeker I only use the garnets.
