Game is Tripping

Ok so I was in experienc room in frostcover we just killed the boss and the bm was rounding up the mobs when the game decided to shut down my computer updated? second time this has happend, but this time i went to log back in the game shut down on me again, so i relogged back in and finally got in, got back in squad, So we get to holeen we killed the small one and all the sudden big holeen was big red letters spelled ERR i posted a link. Has this ever happend to anyone?

    Your graphics card does not approve, by the looks of things.

    This is a new laptop, I have never had this problem..

    Okay, first note ... that sucks and I would likely be pissed if it happened to me.

    However ... at the same time ... that is pretty COOL! Submit a ticket and suggest the GMs/Devs give you an award or something!

    I've yet to ever encounter this problem. Never even heard of such an issue occurring. Your not going to like to hear this, but it's something on your end for sure. Could be your graphics card, graphics software on your PC, client issues (try verifying the client and/or reinstall), etc.

    Might be a brand new PC, however this game engine is very old. About 7 years old, if I'm correct. It doesn't support newer graphics cards and PC's well. Mainly, it doesn't take advantage of a pro PC w/ awesome graphics card and multiple core's. But it also has some issues w/ specific cards that have rendering issues w/ some of the graphical models in the client. I know some NVIDIA cards have specific modeling issues w/ graphics by the 29 area.

    If the laptop is new, then that leaves one thing.

    That model is broken, thus showing the error handler "ERRor". Verify should take care of this.

    I encountered that in JD once, when I was cutting bamboo for shoots. I guess it's just a glitched item. It never appeared again.
    And no, this was not the fault of my laptop.

    It happens sometimes. There's a break in the code coming down to your computer from PW telling the client which NPC data to load. It can happen a lot if you've got some lag already and there's a massive event going on in Archosaur. I got that a lot for the elders that appeared at the intersections for that major attack event.

    Also, you say, "the game decided to shut down my computer updated?" WTH? Did your computer run updates and shut down the client to reboot? Did the client crash? You aren't clear on what's going on here.

    I remember when I had a problem like this with Left 4 Dead. Every zombie was a sideways ERROR. It was actually fun to play with, so I left it like that for a couple days, then finally fixed it.

    Anyways, when I had fixed it, I just verified the files. Maybe that will fix it here, don't know, but it is worth a try.

    first of all thanks everyone for the replies, it was neat at the same time but yet i was pissed. I am trying to reach 100 so im at 99 with 60% exp.. My video card driver is updated so it saids, so I went to the website and downloaded the drivers and im going to manually install them to besure.. Yes that is the 2nd time in FC my computer shut down and it said updating although, my windows updates are available I yet haven't installed them so I am not sure as to why it said that, so if im not clear on that im just saying what happend.. I will verify the game and see if that helps if not i'll reinstall.. So if this happends agains ill post another screenie.. Thanks guys!

    Based upon the limited description you've given, if it's a new laptop and it's shutting itself down, then it's probably shutting itself down due to the overheat safeties kicking in.

    If you're not blocking the air vents, then it's a BROKEN laptop, and you need to exchange it before the warranty runs out. Otherwise it's only going to get worse over time.

    As for "ERR", that's the default model PWI loads whenever it can't find the correct model, for whatever reason.

    Update your video card drivers , if that doesn't help - google Omega Drivers. download and install it , that will solve your problem.

    hello everyone, I updated the drivers, went to fc everything is fine now.. and as for over heating i have a cooling fan for my laptop and i make sure nothing is blocked.. Thanks everyone for the suggestions..
