I think there would be a lot of screwed players. b:chuckle
PWI is not a game anymore, is more like a full time job. So we are no longer gamers, but workers. But we don't get pay for our job, we pay our "bosses" for our job b:chuckle
You either play 8-10hrs a day to get enough coins to buy items in game, or spend real money to buy packs.
It was fun playing on low levels, but higher you go, there are only more and more stupid quest where u have to kill 1567834 mobs, only to get 29654 coins.

Yea, i spend my money on buying ZEN, but no more. If I want don't want to play trillion hours a week to get best items i need to spend 10-20 euro a month to buy them, and for that money i can play normal MMO games, that i pay monthly, where developers actually care for game balance.

U can't have relatively small developer team and make 10 games at the same time, like PWE now does, and have time to listen players request. You just make small changes, and try to make more players/workers to spend more real money.

To be straight to the point, this kind of news does not surprise me anymore. Packs are there all the time and contents are -slightly- renewed on each occasion.
People could go 'okay, enough of money spending, I stop here' and then packs' popularity would wane and mayhaps disappear for good. Is it the case? Surely not. Not later than yesterday, I even witnessed many messages like 'Meowmeow* has acquired Perfect Token of Best Luck'. If that is not massive gambling and 'popularity', what is it then? *laughs*
As long as there is demand, this pattern won't end, maybe never will.

And so I stopped buying second-hand boutique items (no, they are not unclean... and this process is necessary for the good of the economy... You know, item recycling?) and I laugh when gold rate is that high, because catshops can be left open for all eternity.

Sheer greed from most of the PWI community of sellers? Surely. Game's dead? Absolutely not. And those responsible for boutique management sure know what they are doing (and this is for the sake of business, not for the gamers to buy more items outside of cash).
And so... For all of those who dream for gold rate to drop (I gave up on this fantasy), good luck. b:surrender

    - When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
    - Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
    - New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
    - I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.
    - *Incessant poking on Sweetiebot* Fun~

I don't actually mind the packs, doesn't really affect my merchanting.

Though, the frequent 60% off sales have pretty much ensured that Gold will never, ever, drop too far below 900k, if it's ever even given a chance to get close to that. Because the point at which packs are actually worth opening on average, with this gold price, is somewhere a bit below 900k.

But yes, this sale is pretty much the same as having none at all. I doubt it's gonna affect gold prices, since it's just 3 packs with identical odds overlapping for a duration of the Easy Rider pack sale. Well, it's still better than pushing in another orb sale, as that might actually push the gold prices even higher.
I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.
If you see b:cute be sure to take a second, calm look at anything I said.

i would have liked to see more of a month on, month off thing.... would be better for the economy, and probably better for the devs

if you go a month without packs, and then put them on sale, you will probably get a lot of people buying to make up for stocks of crab meat, hypers, ect that they exhausted in the month without packs

now... there already was a pack sale going on.... is anyone spending more money then they would have before, just to buy tiger packs, instead of the rider packs ?

i cant see how this will make pwi a dime more in income, and it will just annoy the gamer base more
