Alright.. I want to start a nice topic without flaming and trolling.



What are people in HT do as a hobby when they arent playing the game?



Mine is making music. I create a lot of random music on my computer and im excited about going to a music school in August for 2 years.

    My hobbies are drawing and reading. I cannot live without art for it is truly a blessing to be able to express. As for reading, anything with mythology or a philosophical meaning with a satirical twist or even ancient literature. Im currently reading literature from the Sumerian civilization. As for art, I range from traditional to digital, acrylic to pastel, or if digital....I use GIMP since I'm too poor to get photoshop. :[


    Oh, and finding new music to listen to. Ranging from classic orchestra to screamo death metal to techno/trance, I love my broad taste of music, except rap lol.... :x

    Well aside from current craptacular stuff getting in the way.

    I used to be a lot more of an outdoors enthusiast, dirt bike/ATV riding, wake boarding, flatland BMX, few others but less often. Lots of it had to be toned down though since I'm packing metal mesh replacing a cheekbone, and 3 other plates that hold half my face together lmao.


    Aside from that, Anime, lots and lots of anime. Why? Because I enjoy stories as well as character development and art styling. Those 3 aspects on their own can make an anime very good or dull.

    Occasional guitar (electric) but I fail horribly in the attention span market so learning tabs tends to take a while. Used to like drawing but I fail at it as well and only do templates for CG oriented work now unless it can all be done on the PC.

    Offline I usually go out places with the wife and family, parks and city centres usually (malls for instance). Also watch a bit of hockey, play some games (prefer older ones like Command & Conquer/Red Alert, Doom, Rise of the Triads, FF series, etc.) -- when I lived in California would venture to the Boardwalk, Six Flags, and Dave & Busters on a regular basis.

    Online mainly read/post on handfuls of forums, relating to hockey, politics, and games. Also a consumerist and spend a bit of time researching prices for things I'm going to buy, like cars, or even smaller things like desks, furniture, electronics, and so on.

    I wish that there was more around here for me to do. I live on around 2 acres of land which is located about 45 minutes to an hour from the closest city that has anything to offer. Unfortunately, with no car of my own, I am limited to watching television or messing around on the internet.

    Well, I read, a lot. I read on average 1 book a day...and not a tiny paperback. I usually end up at some point in game afk while I'm reading. I have pretty much always been an avid reader.

    I also do something probably dorky...I like to scrapbook. Yeah, yeah...

    Obviously, PWI and other gaming stuff. I love playing online and RL bingo, ha! I am a beta-tester for a certain anime/comedy/tv website that produces awesome browser based games.

    I also love to write poetry, and I'd consider it a hobby that I frequently post on several forums each day. Right now I have about 5 forums that I have open for most of the day. I am a mod for an anime show forum that's part of [adultswim]'s boards.

    So yeah...I'm a nerd. So what?!

    I do scrapbooking occasionally as well. I've got this rather large project I'm working on for my daughter that still requires a great deal of work to be put into it.

    When I'm online, I have about 3 forums I visit. DeviantART, PWi and an alternative news/conspiracy dwelling forum.

    Don't worry though, I am completely sane........but I am absolutely sure humans are a genetic experiment done by aliens.

    i work... tons. but while at work i read like crazy. fantasy stuff mostly. other than that, i have a passion for languages ( though a terrible memory for vocabulary), psychology/psychiatry stuff, and scientific experiments in general (high grade nerd).
