We all know that no product is perfect. No matter how much we are proud of something we do (or serve) there's this lingering feeling of wanting to improve and/or change certain aspects of your product(s).

So here I ask to you, employees of Perfect World Entertainment. You are given the chance to change whatever you wish in this game, what would that change(s) be? Game Masters, Community Manager, Technical Support, Those People In the Offices Working With Live Chat And Tickets, That Person That Cleans Toilets, etc. I invite as many employees to please share what would they change. If you can also get ex-PWI staff like Dvorak and Kantorek to reply as well would be fantastic.

I know that the weekend is like right there and this thread may go unnoticed until Monday, but what the heck.


Notes:

1. Please try to not give biased answers. Be honest on how you feel.
2. Trolls, please stay out of here. There are many threads out there for you to play your QQ Games.
3. Players may comment and/or ask questions to whatever a staff may post. Just no arguing, please.

    If you get an answer from one of them I will be surprised really...

    I mean the employee's CAN but I am skeptical that any of them would. The only one that I have ever seen answer a question like this was eatwithspoons.

    I'm not the staff, but I would like to see aps capped at 3 per second, Barbs have better aggro build and make it so this game doesn't seem so dependent on the cash shop.

    Unfortunately, as noble an attempt as this is, I'm sure PWE employees are severely limited on what they can say about the company so long as they are working for it. My last two jobs, both required I keep my mouth shut about certain things they knew the public would not want to hear. I actually had to sign such a contract saying that while I was an employee, I would not say anything about certain things I had seen or that I thought. I had to always represent the company as best as I could, providing the best image I could. Now that I don't work at either, I could say whatever I want, but it wouldn't necessarily provide me with a good recommendation.

    If anyone who actually works for PWE (not the mods, sorry guys) actually responds in a way that is counter to what the company wants, I would be very shocked (e.g. Frankie coming in and saying "packs should be removed").

    Ehhhh...

    It can be a grey area. "My opinion is that PWI can be made better by..." But, that's how he should be opening dialogue with the Devs, and really, not the community.

    The big problem comes from us, in the community, feeling like everything that would make the game better, such as fewer pack sales, something... Less stupid than the **** horse as a 'compensation' for removing medals, etc., being blatantly rejected by the Devs, either by when Frankie suggests them, or when we QQ like ABSOLUTE MAD (that thread is STILL getting a page a day of posts or so).

    As a player, it's very disheartening to think and feel that the devs are so disconnected from OUR playerbase that they really could care less what's best for PWI.

    Frankie hasn't really been forthcoming about stuff, well, very much ever. We learned of the DDoS from GM's on other of PWE's games. It's one thing to have an exciting new pack sale with exciting new prizes in it (er, tokens?)! But it's another to have a massive community concern, and have no response, except from Kritty that Frankie is buried in a hole with a BB gun fighting WWIII trying to get it done. There's a balance between focusing on one side too much, and neglecting the other side too much. Some kind of status updates would be appreciated.

    But again, it's falling into a void... And with so many players already having R9, or in some cases, 90% of the way there, just lacking the medals, it's getting ridiculous now to take it away and expect up and coming players to compete with the large base of over-geared TW oriented players.

    'It's in the works' is a popular phrase... But come on... If this doesn't happen soon, people are gonna start finding other games soon. You get nubs who go 'wow, what's that? How do I get it?!' and you tell them 'well, literally, you cannot.', and you see the light go out of their eyes. 'Is there anything better?' And then, you have to tell them that there is Warsoul, and it's equally unobtainable. Then, they get to level 50-70, and then slowly lose interest in the game, and get booted from the faction for not showing up anymore. It happens every week in the factions I'm in... And the new people with the stars in their eyes, aiming for the top, they're getting fewer and further between.

    I guess I will take your topic question literally, in contrary to the others and regardless to your inquiry (I am no PWE employee either, I am THAT annoying).

    If they could reverse time and change one thing I'd want, like in some genie's wish (of course I am not the forceful type), I'd opt for changes in gameplay, especially on how people level up and how they get endgame gear and its uses.

    Now, if you'd ask me to get even more selective, I guess I'd pick the 'not too easy leveling instances' thing. Levels close to cap/lv 105 itself were a sign of ultimate achievement back in the days. It means nothing now. It's a bit sad when you think of it.

    But again, I have grown used to it and care so much less about it. It's just... a common sight. lol

    Why would they change anything?Their little business is going well,people who are power-addicted donate,its like a paradise for them.The only changes they make are cash shop related or sales.

    considering the general kinds of things i've seen PWE employees say --- and, as importantly, NOT say --- on the forums, i'd bet a lot that this is exactly the case.

    and i'd be much, much more likely to actually respect PWE as a company if it were not the case.

    For example, let's say that darthpanda would love to replace them ugly statues in the center of Archosaur with Darth Vader statues, then so be it.

    So if that's the true meaning of your thread, as another said before, I guess they will never talk about it. Them even expressing their own feelings over things is properly monitored... This is why that I never wished to be a mod. I cherish my freedom of expression too much (including the possibility to be very sarcastic/cynical)

    I doubt the staff is allowed to make the game look bad by wishing for things that they really want to see, so I will say what I'd wish for IF I were on the staff.

    I would wish PWE to release content that is actually useful and fun to the majority of the players and also to fix bugs that has existed for years so that players would stop spamming the forum with complaints about the crappy updates and annoying junk that is currently in the game.

    Oh no, don't get me wrong. The purpose of this is not to make the game look bad. I know that the staff cares, but they still get blamed for everything. This is kinda a chance to prove (to some extent) by using their own opinions instead of generic responses.

    And there's nothing to hide anyway since we all know that it's the devs fault for not listening.
