Hi, i've noticed( and i'm sure i'm not the only one) that the sin skill tree has 3 pair of skills that does prety much the same thing, and i was wondering on which one i should be focusing.
Those skills are:
Windpush/Maze Steps
Shadow Jump/Shadow Teleport
Shadow Walk/Shadow Escape
I'm waitin for opinions

There is no "best" in there, those skills have different uses.
Windpush is just a speed boost, whereas Maze Steps has an additional immunity to stun and immobilize. Windpush also has a much lower cooldown at 60 seconds versus 90 seconds, not to mention that Maze Steps costs a spark.
Shadow Jump and Shadow Teleport share pretty much the same thing: Shadow Teleport comes with a 3 second stun, costs a spark and has a longer cooldown.
As for Shadow Walk and Shadow Escape, they are pretty much very different skills. Shadow Walk is just regular, out-of-combat stealth, whereas SHadow Escape forces you into stealth while in combat and gives you a spark. Again, Shadow Escape has a higher cooldown.
All of the skills are useful in their own ways, so you can't just pick one of either, you will need all of them.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

One more question please: Shadow Escape can be used while out of combat?0

Yes, but it's the cool down that makes us use the other one.Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.0 -

it's also used as a spark gainer, although with the other chi skills it's not needed much.0 -
I never use Shadow Escape to gain Chi since of his cooldown.
Much better generally have it ready in case you need an emergency stealth. We have already lots of ways to get chi.
(By the way you'll probably end to have all these skill maxed before 90 anyway)WTB>More Fash

Never? I find that a bit hard to believe.
I personally use it to gain chi at the following places:
1. When I log on, I cast Inner Harmony, Master Li's Technique and Shadow Escape to get to 3.5 sparks.
2. When I'm in FCC/BH and a boss has just died, I often Shadow Escape to gain a spark. Especially in FCC where the intervals between bosses might be too fast for IH to be out of cooldown.Much better generally have it ready in case you need an emergency stealth. We have already lots of ways to get chi.
Personally, the only place where that could happen is FCC and the bosses there are already unstealthable so there's no point.(By the way you'll probably end to have all these skill maxed before 90 anyway
Depends on the person. I got maxed Wind Push, Shadow Walk and Shadow Jump, which SHadow Teleport being level 1, Shadow Escape level 4 and Maze Steps level 4. Out of those, Shadow Teleport does not serve much purpose in PvE, same for Maze Steps and I'll eventually max out Shadow Escape because I have the Sage book in my bank, for the purify.I am Olba. I use shadow escape a lot in my chi gaining combos to keep me semi permanent spark,if my other chi skills are I. Cool down and I need that third spark I'll shadow escape then spark..bam bam bam..hit with the rising dragon..boom 3 sparks again..bambambam..use inner harmony, three sparks again...rinse and repeat.[SIGPIC]http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=2527935005&dateline=1300027633[/SIGPIC]

I was actually talking about FCC,and not bosses, but pulls.
(Yes there are lots of fail pulls at 85/95 range).
Is always funny watching everyone die for someone else's fault while I stealth back in the shadows b:cuteWTB>More Fash

Most is pretty much said by Olbaze. Just to add:
Shadow escape sage/demon is 1 extra lvl of stealth, while shadow walk stays at 10 (not 100% sure, but also considering sage/demon escape is more common to find in ah). This can be usefull in things like cube or pk.
Shadow jump doesn't have any effect, so you can use it in stealth without getting knocked out. Can be used to take shortcuts in caves by jumping through wall.
Shadow teleport's stun is really usefull when trying to save a cleric or other squishy person. Stun cancels the attack a mob could be casting.SoulRequiem - Sanctuary wrote: »I was actually talking about FCC,and not bosses, but pulls.

o.O you should be trying to save the cleric. Rift => spark or something like that should allow cleric to holypath out of danger...0 -

I usually do when Barb dies, and when you have 50+ wild mobs running around....there's nothing I can do to save others,I would just die in half second ^_^WTB>More Fash

No
2 letters was too short to post.0 -

They can't be stacked, but they can be cast together, I personally don't see the point of using both.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Windpush is useful when you're in FCC and had to do something/died and now have to run the halls all over again.
Maze Steps is useful for Invincibility Pots and dueling/anti-stunning.
Shadow Jump is useful in FC for teleporting through wallsb:surrender
Shadow Teleport is useful for stunning people on the spot/ Saving the cleric in an instance
Shadow Walk is for out-of-combat stealth and running around, and Shadow escape is for "Oh **** I poked the wrong mob/person/thing "[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

rift -> domain -> windpush outta there + maze steps when wind wears off -> shadow escape.
Depending on your squad, that will buy enough time for either cleric to res/rebuff and then you can run back in stealth, or it will reset the mobs and save the rest of the squad since they'll normally be able to handle anything that goes back to their position if it's a decent squad that just had a bad moment.
... and in the crappy squads, you can say that at least you tried. b:chuckle0 -
