We have aoe skills but not a constant one. I used to use storm mistress's aoe "hush" against a group of wood mobs or a large group like in frost. I don't find that summon at all useful anymore other than to be insta leeched after summoning though.

Thicket I use mainly like I would glacial shards on my psy and it does way more damage and freezes quite reliably. I haven't gone to RB yet on mystic but I know it would wreck all the LV? mobs in there. I imagine pulling aggro of the entire pack of mobs after using though so I hope it would one shot everything it hit during HF etc. Sparking does nothing to increase thicket damage, or really anything else that normally increases damage.

Craglord is where its at. I like to pop fallign petals and then run through a pack of metal mobs, summon craggy and click eruption while pressing petheal button. I usually spam gale force too while he aoes but you DO risk the mobs scattering.

Gale force used to be an awesome skill for aoe. It still is only you end up scattering mobs often.

Lysing Punishing sting is pretty much only useful if you are trying to aoe LV? mobs and thicket/craglord are unavailable. It does **** damage. Sting itself does 1/4th **** damage by comparison. On any regular mob it so far hasn't gone over 5k damage when Lysed for me. Idk if a better weapon even effects it since its done about the same damage fo rme on mobs for the last 10-20 levels.

The attack, hp, defense, etc of ALL the plants and how they are effected by gear and lvl are unknown unfortunately.

You don't find Storm useful? Really? That's pretty much the only summon I use these days. I don't need the stun on the devil and its damage is bad otherwise, and I'm rarely in a situation where salvation is necessary. I use Storm 99% of the time in FF (and she usually ends up tanking xD) and Cragg on the big room pull and dragons. I also use her all the time in BH, although not to aoe. I'd probably alternate between her and Cragg in RB (haven't done it yet on my mystic) since mana wouldn't really be an issue.

The only place I can think of that's an aoe fest is FF, and you'll be fine using Storm/lysing Befuddling or Punishing (I prefer befuddling, damage isn't awesome but it's nice to debuff a hoard of mobs at once) and using Cragg. I use Gale Force sometimes, but it sucks when the majority of the mobs run away from it. I think sage Gale Force would make things better since they're run much slower... but I haven't found one yet. lol

I don't really think we'd do well aoe grinding. Maybe gathering mobs and using Cragg, assuming the amount of times you can get him to aoe in 20 seconds would be enough. I'd imagine it would be on same level mobs, but I haven't tried, so I'm reluctant to say Mystics are good at it. lol

I use devil to pull, I rarely use salvation because the main use I have for it is when I know someone squishy is gonna pull aggro and die without aegis shield b4 I could heal them/get one shot.

Martyrdom sounds great in theory but in practice its good for very little other than to shave off a lil damage on a few hits b4 summon's mp is gone faster than you can refill it.

Putting both one target seems pointless. Does martyrdom make aegis shield last longer since it means less of it is used up for a few hits? Or does it reduce the single digit damage that AS lets through?

I'd rather have that mp to cast AS several times then blow it all on minor temporary damage reduction.

Using salvation also removes most of my dding choices, whether i'm healing too or not. Best thing is leeching her so i'm a temporary uber tank mwa haha. Fun to leeroy mobs while waiting on tabber in 51 for example.

Devil's stun is useful but rarely use it on my own or in squad. Folding strike is only really useful to tank bosses in frost or similar. Since devil has **** defense/HP compared to yourself or another tank it means limited use and spamming pet heal.

Since mistress has even worse hp/def (even magic res wtf) I find her useless to tank or aoe much if no one else is too. She does roughly equal damage to myself with her main skill, and only barely more against a wood mob. She casts it slower than devil can auto attack so dding is meh. Since to dd at all she NEEDs near constant supply of mp that I could be using for anything else I don't much like using her.

Craglord can go waaaay more damage than she can in 20 sec and tank everything you can toss his way with full hp. Several levels higher even.

As long as they are melee mobs anyways. If you aren't aoe on melee mobs to begin with then you are doing it wrong lol.

i only use storm in FCs, mainly because her AOE. but her main attack is very strong on bosses too. Unless im the tanker (or well, my pet) then I use devil, or if things are getting rough, like at bishop boss and she ends up dieing then i summon devil. i use salvation for the puller when theyre doing pulls.

lately i havnt been AOEing on fc pulls but rather the person keeping everyone alive during them. but when there is a cleric i do use thicket because i find less mobs running away when using that skill. and occasional gale force when mobs are almost dead so i dont scatter mobs all over the place.

cragg is a great AOE also but in FC i dont find myself using him very often except sometimes in the exp room pull. but in GV (rb), for example, i spam him every cooldown because his AOE is very strong, along with using thicket. and in those cooldowns i use storm, or use storms aoe in beginning of the wave and then summon cragg for the rest of it. no one should underestimate cragglords AOE, and in some situations should use him instead of thicket. but thicket is 1 convenient cast while as cragg is cast and send out to go kill... just depends on your situation when/if you have enough time to use him.

lysing punishing sting is an AOE also but its not as strong as even storm mistress's AOE. but, you can still consider it as one.

and lastly if your AOEing mobs as in questing/grinding, i still use Storm for that situations too. Gale force is good there because i dont mind mobs running away, im usually running around healing myself and waiting on cooldown anyways so i dont care for a few mobs to run off, makes me get hit less. also, using thicket in that situation kills mobs off quick.

Mystic aoe shines in GV. Our Thicket and Storm Mistresses aoe isn't reduced on the mobs.

With a BM's DG I can practically one shot almost every mob in GV. b:victory

We can aoe decently in pve. In pvp, it's more limited, since our best AOE requires us to be within 12 m range of someone. Thicket is AOE, but the area is extremely small compared to wizard aoes. OTOH it has a sick AOE disable so it would probably be insanely overpowered if it had 12m range aoe.

He's exactly right, Thicket is good enough as is. It's damage may not one shot people like BIDS since it is in sections. But the silence/freeze is the real reason why you cast it.

On a side note it's great for sins because it can actually 1 shot them through there Deaden nerves buff, since it's damage is technically in ticks.
