Poll: DQ horse or that motorcycle?

Hey all,

I have been wondering since this new patch was applied, what mount would you choose?

The DQ horse (which seems to say 'See my sexy pose? Don't diss me, love me'):


or the brand new motorcycle (The owner's name was hilarious in itself, but I wonder if I can post it here):


Note that I own neither and I plan to never get them. I also happened to be lucky and get screenshots of both in a really short time, without annoying people for that purpose.

Horse. I saw it ingame and looks very good. And it's also free if we farm the DQs. I would never waste 40mil+ (Sanctuary price) on that ugly motorcycle that doesn't even go with the Chinese theme of the game! -_- It's hideous... But I guess guys like it. b:shutup

Correct, it's technically free if you farm DQs... But you are going to farm for them for a while.
you are correct as well. When I saw the lighter vendor thing for the first time, I felt it was quite out of place. This motorbike is even more.

I farmed 28k DQ points last weekend on my Cleric (I AoE farm poison mobs). Not that hard during double rates. I wanted to get the golden horse but decided to keep my Hurricane Whitewind because it matches my white fashion sets better, lol. b:surrender

Well, never say never, right? Who knows if you'll want to get it in the future again.
I have still to see what I would want to get from DQ rewards (as I saved quite a bit of points). So far, nothing struck my fancy (I wanted to get molds gotten with mysterious chips, but since you still got to spend a crazy amount for them as well... I gave up on the idea)

Yes, I still find it funny that people playing as barbs use mounts when they can reach insane speeds in true form. But I guess that Zombie Tiger form... I mean Sacred Tiger form is repulsive to some... and that is not my business after all. b:chuckle

Motorcycle.. no thanks. It makes annoying noise and it doesn't fit the theme at all :<

None since they both are 11 m/s, if for example the horse would be 12 m/s, hence the outrageous amount of dq points not only a rare puke-like colour, guess some people just go for looks to stretch their e-peen, oh look i got something different! I stick with my lovely tiger 4 ever + it`s the only mount whose sound i like when running b:chuckle

To Waterfal: Well, seems there are people who really want either (and now one said both). Frankie said it was an exclusive and the fastest horse so far. So ummm yeah. No objection, your Honor.
As for the motorcycle, I really would have expected a loud humming/motor roar, but I heard that it makes silly noises.

To Angel_Spawn: I still wonder why there are no 12m/s or at worst 11.5m/s mounts yet... You can see that some would really kill to get a 3.20 aerogear... It's not so much a speed difference when compared to the 3.0 ones. But still, the price is quite different. Hype, bigger and slightly faster type, not in boutique yet, etc.?
Yup, I'd be quite happy if one could shed some light over this strangeness.

I'd get non, I already have the bad panda mount that I got for 5 gold which is more then suitable, the DQ horse was just a lazy joke the GMs played on us, I mean really, the Horse was the first mount ever in PW, it can be bought for a few mill, as slow as it is, either way, simply colouring it gold and calling it a new mount is an epic fail.

I wouldn't get the motorcycle simply because I aint being lured into opening packs and handing my money over to this greedy company/dev team, I'll perhaps buy lil things that I think worthy, but not gambling packs, terrible addiction.

i take none as well, im happy with my 2009 (or was it 2008?)anniversary mount on wizard (tho i got it in 2010) and the 3.0 aero i got on my alt.

Well, if I had to choose between the horse or the motorcycle the horse would win since the motorcycle is severely out of place in this game. But, the new horse isn't the most original mount ever and its worth 150,000 DQ points; I'd rather save them for something else. A "motorcycle" mount would have had potential. The problem is that it's design was taken directly from present times. If it was a steampunk machine or at least more rustic it would have probably been more bearable.

To Renza: I understand your bitterness over both items. The DQ horse may have the same speed as many other mounts and costs a ton of points, but it still is fancied by lots of people, as you can see in my poll. I have yet to wonder why, but yes, at least you are not obligated to get it (gladly).
As for the motorcycle, I am sure some people just want to open the packs to resell it if they ever get it, or want something really different (I believe that animals do not suit their tastes...). Or again, they just aim for big prizes without any in particular.

To DrunkWizard: I thought the anniversary mount (given on both years, no less) would completely destroy the mount business. It seems my predictions were a bit off... That said, maybe it's just about hype, unless gamers really want something outlandish, like those zippos back then.
Btw, I do have the anni mount from last year and I am not even using it. I'd rather fly.

To Davitiel: At least there are lots of alternatives... but also factors that prevent people from getting either (and that makes them quite worthwhile -for now?-), maybe a reason why people aim at getting them so badly.

To Cadeal: Well, it's just a matter of taste, if you have the same speed for rival mounts.
Some will say Nienbeast, others Black Raptor, etc. etc.
Really, Perfect World Great Highway, Perfect World Jurassic Park, Perfect World Great Snake Charmer, you can get on your mount, go at full speed and interpret it as you like.

And I've only seen a handful of people on RT with either of those mounts. Yes, even the bikes. I know the rate for getting them out of the packs is extremely low, But they are very loud, and they look so out of place its not even funny. Basically an eye-sore. It's only week one, I'm not holding my breath.

The horses I just ignore, I didn't even notice them in the DQ page till a week ago when I was getting dyes.

To FrozenPhire: Sure. I still remember when the Hellhound was THE mount along with Ancestral Kirin and select others, a long long time ago, when I still was a beginner.
Then crazy stuff like *takes a deep breath then enumerates in super fast speed*:
Jurassic Park rejects (one orange, one black), some giant seafood staple that escaped from its tank, a hypnotizing goldfish also living outside of its aquarium, a super shiny white fox, some chinese lion, a panda with a funny face that does not feed on bamboo, a giant snake, a shiny piggy (which looks more golden that the Steed), more horses (including those who escaped the DQ chain for good)... etc.
Quite a ton of mounts when you think of it. I am glad you love yours.

To Asone: I knew you were talking with a degree of sarcasm. No worries.
I learned to go 'oh whatever' anytime I see outlandish things, be it in this game or in life in general... as long as it offends no one, no problem.

To ColdSnow: But being broke is what higher ones want! Wait... you're never obligated to. Resist the urge of spending too much. b:chuckle
And yes, that pegasus looks really nice. I am sure people will trade their old mounts (and I do mean those they acquired recently) to get this one. And so, it's an eternal loop of 'I am never satisfied, I do want the newest stuff NOW'. Props for not falling into that. Long live long-term choices! (sarcasm off)

actually put bike for dq point after took medal was something much cooler then put a stupid horse... even tho i wont take any as i don't use mount and i can stay afk with be on a bike....b:laugh

it still amaze me to see ppl actually say "horse is free" you only grind a litle...150k is a lot of a lot hours to grind ....is not free at all....could spend that time actually farm tt or nirvana or w/e
