So..why would you want medals of glory back when most of you have been complaining about how rank gear makes the game "unfair". I really want to know your thoughts..

    Probably because of the people who already have rank 9, no way for others to catch up atm.

    You know, to most people, "unfair" means "something stronger than them that they can't get for themselves".     wtf? youre just going to go ahead and state your own deffenition of "unfair" and claim it as the majority? it is "unfair" to take away the oppertunity to achieve somthing that someone in direct competition with you previously acheived. weather you have the gear or not does not change the fact that it is "unfair". lets have a race. ill use a car, you can use a skate board (sorry cars are no longer available for the races unless you already had your car before we made this rule) i think even the guy in the car would agree it was not a fair race

    People are QQing about Medals being gone for one of two reasons (in my opinion):

    1. R9 is now impossible to get, which makes it very hard to compete against those who already have it.

    2. Some players had been farming DQ to get the medals, but weren't able to get them before they were removed, thus wasting all that time.

    Seriously, the devs have systematically eliminated almost all worthwhile accomplishments in PWI and replaced them with card-swipe victory.

    yeah but that's how pw roles...its unfair that the poeple who bought packs at the beginning of the game bought packs for 1 gold each and now they are 40 silver each.

    Well because its already too late. They were in in cash shop for 25 gold.

    Available with dq points.

    Its so cheap and is such a power difference at end game it would leave the game imbalanced towards people who cash shopped a lot during a certain time frame.

    At end game small increases in power should cost exponentially more. I think they lost sight of this with their development of rank 9, OR their pricing.

    actually its not. when packs first came out it was clearly stated what they were and how much they cost. the pople that spent money on them got exactly what they expected to get. the fact that the prices dropped at a later date is unfortunate for the poeple that bought packs in mass amounts but it doesnt change the fact that they got exactly as many packs as they intended to buy. youre also paying the fact that they were new. you see a new game come out and on the shelf for $60 and 6 months later its a best seller for $20. LIKE OH EM GEE THATS SO UNFAIR!!!

    no sir not at all. 1st off the sales are going the OTHER way. making things EASIER to obtain and not harder. second, they are announced and you know exactly when they sale will be ending. 3rd, if PWI has hada sale on 1 item chances are they will repeat the sale at a later date. that in no way relates to taking away any chance at getting the same gear other players are already wearing

    Hmm you didn't understand what I meant, I see... When I think something is really unfair, I don't use it. Do you think people would still use their R9 sets if they really thought it was unfair ? Or maybe they realize it is, but after all, it's so OP that fair or unfair, they don't care ?

    Really, are you gonna say it's unfair that gold is at 1 mil per nowadays while when the servers started gold was still at 100k per ? Is it unfait that those people who were there at that time have a huge advantage cause by then it was possible to make very profitable merchanting with golds , and so were able to stock up money ?
    They were there at that time, this is all. People who have R9 right now could buy it at the time it was available in the boutique, so it's not more unfair that many other things in the game.

    No it's not unfair. It's completely fair. Those people can still buy more packs at the price reduction. As it stands now with medals, no one can buy them except maybe 1 person per week from tw land reward. By your definition, it's like PWI said "only 1 person may buy packs per week". No pwi did not say that, cause that would have been, unfair.

    Hypocrites. They whine that x is over powered, unbalanced, and makes y (previous equipment once considered amazing, inferior.) 9 times out of 10, they are envious of the fact they can't get it themselves to compete so they call for A. nerf, B. complete removal, or C. a chance for them to get it easier. It happens in almost any long running MMO I've ever played.

    Prime example is... Square Enix's still running not fail MMO, which has these items called 'empyrean gear/weapons.' Lets take them as the equivalent of rank gear for resemblance sake. Currently they are the best pieces for their respective classes, as each class has a weapon and armor set specific for them. The previous gear that was 'the top' was usually farmed for ridiculous amounts of time, and a little luck, but are now trounced on by these much better, easier to make gear.

    So, what's every topic on their new forum after it opened?

    'Remove Empyreans'
    'Nerf Empyreans'
    'Buff old gear'

    etc.

    Same old song and dance... enjoy the game, and what you have; why complain if someone has better equips than you?

    The panda takes no side one way or the other in the rank9 medal discussion, it has no bearing on this character in particular. No personal need or want for it, so try not to read to much into the rest of this post.

    However, Fuzzy does in some ways agree with the above quote. The only people the panda images it unfair on that they were removed are the people who managed to "achieve" 300,000 rep without needing to resort to purchasing them from the sales. For those VERY few Fuzzy feels bad.

    As to the rest who open a new thread daily, the medals will come back, Frankie has said as much in so many words. It is just a matter of time. Patience is a virtue and for those who are so desperate to close the gap, acquire their rank9 and again being to slice through the competition like a hot knife through butter, have no fear. They will return.

    Patience is not a virtue have, or even want. That is why this game keeps bringing in a profit. Instead of grinding to lvl, we frost. Instead of earning the rep, it is bought. Instead of making the coin for things, people buy zhen and sell the gold... To the OP, when the things they QQ about get fixed, they QQ about the very next thing that they can think of.I'd like to see them "fix" everything pple QQ about. Causing everyone to get bored and quit, therefore bankrupting PWE... Then, I could finally quit this addicting game

    Because removing the medals doesn't remove the gears that were already made? So people that didn't have the money at the time, who were working towards it can no longer catch up? Is that concept really hard to understand?

    Now if PW said that they were going to sell Ocean orbs for 5 gold each next week and people QQed, then 2 hrs later they changed their mind and the same people QQed, THAT'S what you are thinking of.
