A person can believe indifferently on power-leveling, or see it as something that is both good and bad depending on circumstance. To create an either-or situation by forcing only two possible options flaws any results, essentially making any polling a useless tool.

I don't believe that many people are exactly in the middle. Even if they are in the neutral zone, most lean more toward one option than the other.b:avoid

I feel power leveling is an important thing about MMORPG's in general. In other games if you know what you're doing and dedicated to it you can reach max level and twink[the act of passing gear that you farmed with your main to an alt] it. The fact is that sure ppl may not know their class but they're new to the game and if you're like me you're scared of making friends online[i'm very socially scared sue me] so you don't have that group to help you learn it. So you see this great chance to level faster and think it's the right way and that must be "how the pro's do it" so you do it. Maybe it's also our fault for letting this happen. You gotta cultivate the new generation, IMHO the more people that play this game means the more support it could get from China and we won't be some backwater version to them.

Also to bring up the point of cultivating more directly. Do you just assume people to know what their doing if you haven't seen do anything yet? If you're running with randoms don't be afraid to ask if they know how to do this or that or to have that lvl 10 rez and if they get mad just say you wanted to make sure this run would be good, and if they don't have it teach them why it's good to have it. Then if they argue do you really want to run with that person?

and to show off alittle here's how i leveled.
1-25 learned the lowbie basics of game on this guy a year ago. then quit to play league of legends. Went to private servers little time afterwards learned my-en basics of most instances and old class PVP.
25-70 hypered grinded[not fc straight up just killed mobs over and over.] Quested. some oracling when i could afforded it. learned market and prices.
70-now fc when a friend of mine runs it[not that much] grinded more normally. starting thinking of endgame. BH's run = 0 cuz i hate bhs before 100 cuz their boring.

and also my other personal thing for myself. If I haven't played the class I don't powerlevel it till I feel i've mastered the basics and worked on the advanced stuff.

Good after at least level 85. Before that any kind of power leveling should be removed. People must learn to play their characters for themselves and for the people they are going to squad with. In my eyes after level 85 you have enough experience with most of the instances and the behaviour in squad so it's fine to just hop all the way to 100.

eh this poll is ... meh. theres nothing in between.

in my opinion power level is good, but then again its bad.

its good if we dont abuse it. we get 10 activations a day. i use 2 per fc run because i cant stand to do 10 runs a day. its a fast pace, but its not as fast as the hard core power levelers. i didnt use oracles (except for the few i got as drops during my time grinding and from quests), and i started using hypers in my 70s.

and its not good because we get cocky people in this game that have gained multiple levels a day (in the 90s, anyways, thats hard to achieve) AKA-abusing the powerleveling (hypers/oracles/whateverelse) and then brag about it... most of them still have some learning to do.

as you can see im level 100. i just got it today actually, so it took me almost 3 months to achieve. i cant say im pro at my class, but ive gotten many compliments. ive got pve down, now i need to work on my pvp. im still learning about my class (pvp wise), but i have learned enough over the time ive played it to know what my skills are and what situations to use them in.

hmmm i use hypers only once a week (started FC on all my chars after lvl85+), find it pretty much useless to hyper all way up cause i like to play the game without any pressure on level or gear. my life, my char, my time frame. :P

I find that I have more things to do at level 101 than when I was below 100.

Though I didn't powerlevel until 80-ish. I spent my time doing quests, grinding, PQ, dailies from 1 to 79, then FC'd to 100. Doing what I did was more than enough time to know how to play your character.

Different scenario on my veno though. I did 1 to 87 doing dailies/quests/grinding. And it was horribly slow. By 80 I already knew how to play my veno.
