-int Question

Alright, so I'm planning on hitting 85 and staying lv 85 for a while. At first I was planning on getting Broad Land but the debuff that it gives you looks like it'll get you killed -even faster- while pking. Is it ok to switch to the Fragrance of Moon xbow as a pvp oriented wep, compared to broad land?
And, would it be wise to get -int on the xbow to get it to 0.62 --> 0.7 APS (rank 4 chest + spirit eater bracers)? Or is the difference unnoticeable in pvp?

FC gold crossbow isn't worth it if you have the option of broad land. Alternatively, you can get a Guardian of the Realm for cheap (aka free) if you want.

Either way, you'll be using skills fairly often in PvP, so -int won't matter as much unless you're using normals on a robe in your level range or the like.

Vast land ???/ same as Broad with no bonus effect.

in TW at lvl 100 and enough -interval to hit 5aps
im opting to go more Defensive and cut out some of my -interval
i find i spend more of my time casting (mainly on HA)
while -interval helps on arcane i expect i wont have all that much more trouble taking them down

P.S. i have very lil PK exp ( 2 TWs and counting up) also i have HS+10

    to:
    http://pwcalc.com/73d2ec9232637ae6
i think those ornaments offer more defense then normal interval. Also have been thinking about switching from aps to dph but meh could get expensive as rank 9 is considered more of a dph route x.x

How is it not free? Farm instances and get it... 100% free.
It all depends on how much time you want to put into farming.

    So comparing broad land to fragrance of moon;
Broad land will increase your attack (should make robes drop really fast) while at the same time reducing your defence - can anyone who used broad land before tell me about their experiences with this buff/debuff? Sins and seekers can tele on you, and will the debuff make them kill you instantly? Or is it worth it in the end?
Fragrance of moon has 2%+ crit, which seems really nice for pvp. At lv 85, that should bring my crit chance to around 25%.
I'm not considering vast land because it's a vanilla bow - no crit, no buffs, and I really want something noticeably good in pvp. Also, thank you for the replies so far guys! b:thanks

As archers, we should be packing +phys def ornaments anyway. (Get more mag def with LA than phys def D:) But I still don't trust BL for pvp. I went with Crimson Horn SoulSmasher because it does the same to your attack with the proc but you only lose mana instead of phys def. Only thing is, the CH:S is a level 80 wep and BL is 85, so you would obviously do more dmg with a higher level wep. Also, CH:S has -interval, which you seem to be into. But -.5 interval isn't that noticeable, lol. not even with 80 gold bracers and rank top.

I'm packing a +5 Broad Land with a Perfect Garnet right now, and the defense drop is noticeable, but livable. My PDef before was 2980, and while procced, 1752. My average DPH went from ~9k to ~11k.

Ah ty. I thought that the proc reduced the phys def to almost nothing, but it looks to be not so bad. So broadland looks like a good choice.

    My opinion...

20+ Mil for a freaking bow that has a crappy proc, no int, and not very much DPS unless it's refined? NOOOOOO TY.

I have a CH:S and... Well, at +3, it's more than enough for me right now. I'm using a Windcatcher for TW and such, but that's more for the +range and higher DPH.

Broad Land... Ew. So overpriced, G12, crappy proc, and not enough DPH.

If I refined my TT80 G bow to +5, it would be about the same DPS as Broad Land. I just don't see the point. And being a lower gear level, it's very cheap to add sockets to Soulsmasher, as opposed to the 1000+ it'll take you to just get 1 socket on the Broad Land, if it doesn't even have a socket (which there are some that are socketless).

So... If you're gonna be using one weapon for a long time, and for RB Gamma, I'm guessing, I'd suggest the TT80 G. Guardian of the Realm doesn't refine as well, sadly. =\ I has a free one, and kinda wish I hadn't bothered. I use it in FCC with an Earth +100 shard, and a little in TW, and that's it. I use Earth Damage Apo with it in TW for massive DPS increase against HA, but that's about the extent of it's usefullness.

    100 Demon BM*/Barb
    96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
    95 Demon Wiz/
    94 Sage Veno

And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

    @ Lust
Im looking at going full R9 since it would cost only a bit more then full Nirvana.
    im already full TT99/rank8.
The Ornaments are expensive and i plan to go stage 2.

and for the CH:S Vs BL topic
i had BL+3 and CH:SM+5, at this point they do the same damage as each other, the proc boost damage by the same amount too

I sold my BL because i disliked my lowered Pdef, pulling agro with it While in BoA on Big room would be bad.

only reason to go BL over CH:SM would be for higher base damage + better refines<imo

    This used to be true.

    However, they ended that deal:

Hey all, as you may have noticed, we've made some changes to the DQ system, and I wanted to go through them with you.

    1: Medal of Glory removed
    ...
2: Chest of Coins added to DQ Vendor List
    ...
3: Addition of coin turn-in quest at Jolly Old Jones for 150 DQ points
    ...

    Update (4-8-2011)

    Hey all,

This thread has now reached its 54th page, and I felt that you guys should know two things-- one is that we are indeed reading your posts, and we read your discontent regarding this issue loud and clear. The second is to let you know that this Medal of Glory issue is something that is not only controversial on the forums, but within Perfect World (the company) itself, where there are differing opinions on whether or not the Medals should have remained in the DQ shop.

Basically, our developers believe that it had become too easy to acquire Medals through DQ, and even more so because of the tradeable/untradeable glitch. The sheer number of Medals being sent out on the servers was very concerning to them, and the fact that they were readily available on the open market made them function completely opposite of how they are viewed in the Chinese version of PW. Folks here felt that, as long as players worked for them, Medals should continue to be obtainable through these non-TW ways. Ultimately, though, the devs do have the final say, and after originally supporting the Medals' increased accessibility, they decided that, at this time, they needed to be removed from the DQ shop.

The DQ system, remember, is something that is completely unique to our version; in a sense, it's an experiment, one that has proven to be very successful and popular with the players. But the fact that it is something of an experiment also means that it is particularly malleable and open to revision. Revision can go both ways, though, so you can count on two ultra-rare items being added to the DQ shop in the near future, along with more new items down the line. I'll admit that it's a slow process, getting items approved to put in the DQ shop, but we're continuing to work to make that happen for our unique little system.

    Thanks all,

    FrankieRaye

In other words: you can't get free medals of glory now, and the devs are upset about how cheap medals of glory were and they cut the cost of dq points.

In other words: anyone with plans on getting rank 9 should expect (a) long delays and (b) significantly increased costs to get them. And anyone with a rank 9 already should congratulate themselves for being a lucky bum. You won the lottery, but no one should look down on anyone struggling much harder than you, for lesser gear.

im expecting them to come back to the cat shop or something, ive based my price on what they had last time, 25 gold each.

with that and the current sale on chips

nirvana armor is around 100mil+ each

    R9 also around 100mil+ each

im just waiting for them to bring it back
